Hey, I've made contact with a local salon that is TG friendly.  I'm gonna start growing out my (Currently boring male and short) hair and I'll be looking for a style that I can use in male and female modes.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Without any photo, it is difficult to figure out.
But you may try a short, but girly style.

Just do it.

Pretty much any longer feminine hairstyle can be sort of masculinized simply by making a ponytail. If you're just starting to grow it, you'll be mostly concerned about getting past the grow out stage, though. You'll probably be annoyed at how it sticks up or out in ways you don't like. This is because short hair doesn't grow downward yet and takes months until the weight makes it hang right. Just try to keep it smoothed back if you can during that time and ignore it as much as possible.

Skinny jeans, nuff said. They feel great and look good in both gender presentations.

That's me... skinny jeans and androgynous sweaters! Some men's sweaters look like they belong in the women's racks (like the one my grandma got me for Christmas... no, she doesn't know ~ I don't think my mother told her... yet).

Would skinny jeans look good on the following type of body?

Height 5'6"
Weight 160lbs (a lot of it is in the butt and thighs, I think)
Hair : blonde -> balding -> gray, short hair cut
Age 41 but look like I am in my 30's, maybe even late 20's at times

In men's I normally wear 32x30 pants

One day to work I wore regular jeans and an oversized zip up sweater type thingy.  I felt feminine in them, and noticed that I was getting some looks (not bad ones)
10-13 tried mother's finger nail polish, dresses and her heels
23 phase of body building and then suddenly cross dressing and wearing makeup
26 started calling myself Kristy in my voicemail recording
36 saw therapist, went on HRT and partially identified as Kristy
37 moved and started HRT again, dressing a little more feminitely
41 started HRT again, and wife made agreement if I would give up Kristy
45 started HRT again, this time for good, because wife didn't hold up her end of the agreement.  New agreement with 11 year old son and wife is that Kristy be present only at certain times and not around strangers or family, unless they are ready to be a part of Kristy.
