Question about shirts when you're slim

Sir Real

Hey guys.  I know I don't post here often, but this is really bugging me and don't know who else I can ask about this one (as most just don't get it about things like wide hips etc for some reason).  I'm very slender and pre-T. A bonafide ectomorph. I don't put on muscle very well and refuse to try and eat more to bulk up (you know what I'm talking about) until I can get on T.  I get XS shirts when I can or slim fits, but those are very rare where I am, especially when I'm on such a budget (meaning no money at all for now). I got a gift card for Sears where I was able to get some shirts. Luckily, smalls fit me well enough around the shoulders and neck - but man are they ever baggy. I got em anyways, there weren't a lot of other options. I don't worry at all about being flat as long as I have my binder. My mom has tried to assure me that they look fine, but I'm just not sure...

I can take in shirts to make them less baggy around my chest and arms.  But if I take in the chest area, it WILL be pear shaped, at least in my mind.  What do you think would be better - bear with having shirts baggy or take them in a bit, risking a possibly exposing a bit of curvature? My hips really aren't wide, but they're wider than my ribcage.  I'll add some pictures for reference.

And here's one I have already taken in to fit better

I'd say take them in, you look like your wearing an night gown in the baggy one. The one you did take in looks very, very good.

I also think you should take them in. You look really good in the last pic.

I'm with the others. Take them in. The first one is too big by far. Also, I'm a fan of wearing clothes that compliment and the second set looks dash.

I agree with taking them in, but throwing it out there, you can pick up really small shirts from asian retailers on ebay, theyre freaking tiny! like an XL is like a US small, perhaps look into that, cheap as too

I agree with all the others, take them in. You look very handsome in that one you've taken in. The larger one emphasizes just how small you are and could feminize (or at least make you look younger) because of that, while that one that's been taken in makes you look like an average well-dressed guy.

I'd try large kids shirts if the first few pics is you in a small

Take them in, the shirt you've taken in looks really good.

The one at the top of the post actually makes you look more like a butch lesbian where the smaller one makes you look more male. Like others have said, eBay. But also a Boys XL is almost the same size as a mens small. I used to wear boys XL clothing before I put on my muscle in my upper body, now for the the shoulders are too tight in them so all my boys clothing has gone in the trash.

Man you got some style. I need someone to shop with me.

About kids sizes - I kinda thought they might be hit and miss. But I'll keep that more in mind for the future.  They might fit better.  Mostly what's kept me so far was with the lengths. I'm fairly lanky. Although, I ended up getting a boy's winter coat that fit great, so perhaps it would work for me.
Asian clothes - Once I get some money that's where I'll be looking for sure.  Yesstyle.ca is probably where I'd end up going, that or I might be able to travel a bit to actual stores.  You're right, their prices are awesome, it's usually trendy and maybe they'd be a better fit for my body type
Thanks everyone for the input! Was able to take a few of my shirts in to fit more snugly like the other one. I think you're right - they look a LOT better this way. Really appreciate the help guys!

I'm 5'7 and never had a problem with boys XL, however, I never found any asian clothing I could wear because arm or leg length was too short. So keep that in mind the height if youth boys of comparable body structure is much taller than that of similar body sized men in Asia.
