I went out for a meal with a group of friends the other night as well as to have a few drinks at a pub/club. This is a group of friends who constantly take the mock for me being 'girly' or being 'gay', but not bad enough to feel bullied or hurt. Of anything it almost confirms that I am trans.
It was only a little thing but my friend's girlfriend bought a couple of pitchers for the table for her and all the other girls at the table while all the guys (including me) had a beer. However plans changed halfway through so it was just me, my friend and his girlfriend and neither pitcher had drunk that much. So I was offered to help finish them. It's only a little thing but it was so nice to be able to drink what it is stereotypically a 'girly' drink and to not be made fun of. Even when a couple of friends turned up later who had been out on a date saw me they made no comment. It was really surprising because this is a group who really pick up on anything like this. It was only small but so nice.
