Cindy

I tried this last year and it was fun.

OK at this moment it is 31 December 8.40pm in Adelaide South Australia, still 37C. I'm wearing an over sized T-shirt and not much else.

I have a Bacardi and Coke and listening to the neighbours play in their pool.

It is a nice evening and I feel good.

And you?

9.30 in Sydney.

First round of fireworks has been and gone, very pretty and a good view from my balcony north to the harbour where all the fireworks are set off. It's massively crowded in the city but I am only about 5k away.
Have a nice bottle of wine open and will get drunk on the fumes alone.
Yes I'm a very cheap drunk!

Not as hot as Cindy as quite cool and about 25C.

There is another round due in about an hour then midnight which is quickly approaching. Less than 3 hours away.

For the very first time I am looking forward to what the new year will bring.

Watching a classic movie, Dr Strangelove.

So long and thanks for all the fish

It's 8:20pm in Tokyo and I'm riding the metro off to some good eats and some fireworks.

Happy new year, everybody! :D
Only a dark cocoon before I get my gorgeous wings and fly away
Only a phase, these dark cafe days

It's 11.30AM in the UK and I've already finished work today. So tired from getting up so early that I doubt I will make midnight! Though I do have to young American cousins over for Christmas (6 and 3) so no doubt their loud noises will keep me awake!

8:25AM, east coast USA.  Freezing cold.  Wishing I was in Australia.

8:38 am. Rhode Island.
I'm wearing purple thermal pyjamas with a deer and snowflakes
I am teleworking. I have a coffee and enormous, bottomless jug of water.
My feet are cold and I'm getting dressed soon...
It's 19°F... -7°C outside.

Outlook tonight? Early to bed... but not too early... and I will be having my first drink on HRT (De Struise Pannepot 2011).

8:47 am in NC, approximately 47.7 degrees f outside and I'm sitting on my butt on my couch with the tv going in the background and just reading stuff online. Thinking about having another cup of coffee and maybe one of the little cherry pies I bought yesterday cause our vendor didn't bring anymore with him, so I felt a need to buy what we had left before some random customer did.

8:03 A.M. here in the frozen tundra.  I just finished shoveling last night's installment of snow.  More on the way later today.  Someone should design some sexy thermal underwear for those of us who must endure months of bitterly cold weather.  Thinking warm thoughts about 2014 despite the cold.  Hope you are too.

7AM 12/31/2013  here in Seattle, Washington area, temps in 40's F with a light mist outside. Going to dinner and cocktails at the neighbor's to ring in the New Year come evening time, will be dressed androgynously as my preference.

10:13am. Getting ready for work. Doing nothing tonight, probably.
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

It's 11:15 and -22F here in ND.  I got up early and made Carmel Rolls for everyone.  Lunch is at 2:00 and we head out dancing at 3:45.  By midnight my feet will be wonderfully sore and I will be exhausted.  Fun day and night ahead.

Hugs,

Jen
To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.
