What steps have you taken this year? What are your hopes for next year?

My year has been pretty great, feel like i made a lot of progress.
June: broke down and came out to my wife (rocky at first, much emotion)
July: she started to come around to the idea of us, and our future
Aug: started therapy, super nice lady. Totally understands my situation.
Sep: still easing it in with my wife (sometimes I try to go too fast) but I went shopping with her and got some clothing of my own.
Oct - present: deployed overseas (more waiting) but able to save a chunk of change

All in all I'm optimistic for next year, I'm planning on "palace chasing" to inactive guard. Then ill start going to college with GI Bill, oh yeah... And transition, starting with laser and HRT! So excited, 'til I get back to the states though I must wait.
