Do you ever miss anything from your old life? Really the only thing i miss right now is having more pockets. I usually get home from work, get a shower and pull on my pj pants....well at some time of the night/early morning i would normally toss my cell phone into a pocket but can't cuz i have yet to find a womens pj pant with pockets.
I need a hero to save me now, i need a hero to save my life, a hero will save me just in time!!

I miss a lot of that sort of stuff. It was nice to be able to put stuff in pockets, nice to be able to go out without a wig and makeup to cover whiskers, etc.

But the thing I miss the most is being thought of as a suitable romantic partner for a cis person.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Nope. Nothing at all. I retained all of the cool stuff and discarded what I felt was over and done with. Honestly, the stuff that was discarded (like my old Death Metal shirts) had more to do with the fact that I was sick of wearing all black shirts and feeling like a walking billboard. Plus, 99% of them were so worn out they needed to be tossed anyway.

I'm gonna miss pockets, for sure. I keep my whole life in there! Wallet, keys, phone, change...

I remember a couple of years back leaving the office in the evening when we had some really awful snow here and there was traffic jams everywhere. The traffic was stopped for most of the time and eventually I needed to pee. I noticed alot of the men nipping out of their cars to take a leak by trees along the road, and I was thinking ..... if only I could've done the same. That was only for the briefest of seconds however. It took me 5 hours to get home that night and god only knows how my bladder didn't burst.
I can't say I miss anything from before, because things like my interests such as motorbikes I still have so no I don't miss anything.

Oh there are times when I miss not having attention from men. I miss going for a walk at night. When I am on a walk and I have to go pee I miss the ease of being able to pee standing up. Finally I sometimes miss the chance to talk to a man about just normal stuff without him hitting on me.

Attention from men I can do without. Although, I did have one cashier guy at Arby's flirt with me once. (and my Portia shirt is what initiated it. :D) It was kind of cute, actually. But I prefer women so that wasn't going to go anywhere, anyway.

As far as walking at night is concerned: I go where I want, when I want. I don't fear anything or anyone. Anyone that would be stupid enough to screw with me will end up with a broken limb, jaw or possibly losing their sight. I don't screw around when it comes to self-defense. But I've been lucky to not end up in these situations.

well said, Ashley.

I miss going exploring along river or old buildings without worrying about getting attacked cos I am a lone woman - doesn't stop me though.

No, not so far.  In fact I always hated having a zillion bulky things in my pockets and then having to sit down on a fat wallet that made me sit off kilter.

You know, I opened this thread thinking that there was nothing that I miss. But Pockets.... yes pockets were nice. At least my jacket still has pockets.

Honestly, after this long I can't really remember what it was like before so, it's impossible to miss anything.

Why don't you wear sweatpants? Sweatpants are awesome!

I don't plan full transition for family reasons, so I'm in androgyny no man's land. I miss most being squarely on one side of the fence and having those on the other side being interested in me.

And pockets.

I've struggled trying to think of anything that I miss. There really isn't anything. Not even pockets. I hated them when i had them.

No, don't really miss anything. My purse carries a ton of stuff compared to pockets and I get better service when I'm looking for stuff at lowe's or best buy or something.

Ditto, I find I have more fun mainly because there are so many new thing to explore, purses etc. and besides who says a girl can't pee outside, sure it's a little different challenge but hey it's doable :)

sweatpants are the mark of the potbellied stupid couch potato in England and they are now so dated we very rarely see them...thank goodness.

Being able to toss my bike over shoulder (with saddlebag loaded up with grocery stuff) and getting to third floor in one go. Now, I barely can carry bike, not speaking about any additional load and even then there is lots of huffing and puffing all the way upstairs...
