QuoteAre we just a buncha people with a brain that doesnt match our bodies? Or are we a movement? Will we finally rid this world of gender norms in time? Will we be that guiding light to a better, more accepting tomorrow?

This is an article by well known feminist Camille Paglia. This doesn't seem friendly toward our 'movement'... and I see a lot of ridicule of the transgender from people across all societal viewpoints. I feel acceptance will grow if they ever discover a clear and distinct scientific gene or explanation for being transgendered, even then there will be many who won't accept it. But who knows?

and tbh, the whole 2 bathroom thing is a little silly except for the way men tend to trash them and make them unusable.... so grossss

I've seen plenty of women's restroom that were just as vile and disgusting as the men's. Used tampons and pads in the friggin toilet. One time I tried to use the women's restroom in the back of a K mart and I couldn't go in because they were cleaning fecal matter off the damn wall. Who does that???!!!

This I've never understood. Do people do this at their home? If so, pretty scary. If not, WHY DO IT IN PUBLIC???

For the same reason that other people will throw a hissy fit if anything gets messy in their own home, but don't give a damn if they make a mess in someone else's house. I've thrown people out for doing this. Lazy schmucks couldn't be bothered to get up and walk to the friggin kitchen to throw away a chip bag and soda bottle?

So, they just threw it on the floor. When I called them on their stupidity, they copped an attitude about it. I made them get off their ass, throw away their stuff and told them to get the hell out.

She must be, I was stunned when I read her article. There are some points I agree with, but so many are left to some pretty open interpretation. I dunnoh, maybe her readership numbers are down and she needed some shock value?
