I went shopping today. I have been needing shoes for far too long now. I wouldn't say I went out passing, but I had fem attire and carried myself in that manner. I was shocked how little looks, gawks and just generally how ignored I was to the general public. The help at the body shop seemed a little uncertain how she should react to me, which is fine. As soon as I gave her my name she seemed to warm up and go back to treating me like a human. At the shoe store the moment I walked in I was helped, I said I was here for some shoes (durr...) and she starts B-lining it to the ladies section and helped me pick out a pair of shoes.

Knowing I still have a long way to go, today was a cloud nine day. I am nearly out to all my friends and family and I am just astounded by the support and general "Do what makes you happy." response I get from everyone I thought would give me a hard time. I think I really lucked out with living in the area I do.

I went out looking like this, just had a jacket on cause it is stinking cold up here in Canada.

Kind'a liberating isn't it.  And each time gets better, until one day you don't want to dress Male anymore, and suddenly you're full time.

So happy for you.
