This might not seem like a big deal to anyone else but I finally got up the nerve went into Wal-Mart and purchased my very own boots! They are very cute mid-calf, black, with a heel ( 1 1/2"). the biggest size they had was 11 though, they are a little tight but not uncomfortable. I can not wait to wear them out. The cashier asked me if I wanted my boots in a bag, I should have just said no, but old habits kicked in and i made some excuse that they were for my wife. Other than that I am quite proud of myself!!! Oh and if you have not heard the song 'Let it Go" from the Disney movie "Frozen" do yourself a favor and YouTube the song. It is my anthem!! (and I feel it could be for many of us!) Love ya Sisters!

Good for you. I'm worried about shoe shopping I wear a 10 1\2 in mens. Everytime I find something I like online that says it has 11+ sizes they are all ways gone  :'(.

I can't quite do exactly the same thing being as we don't have Wal-Mart on the right-hand side of the pond but yep, I remember first time proper fitting lady boots is a big deal. Well done you, I reckon 3cm is about the perfect heel size.

Well that was fun! What's next?

Congrats!  I'm not a big walmart fan and not totally feeling this song, but I do applaud you making some progress and for finding some nice boots. :)

congratulations kellizgirl! i know it takes courage. i too went shopping today and i bought 2 blouses, 1 cami, 1 bra, 2 pairs of hose and 2 lacy boyshorts.
i was dressed in semi-drab with a blouse and a clearly visible bra. also had make-up and my nails are polished. i was not sure whether one of the blouses was the right size so i asked a SA whether i could use the fitting rooms. she looked at me and said 'men is downstairs' then she did a double take and said 'ummm... i see... well you could try, depends on who you ask'. anyway after some hesitation i did not get in and that's ok. i do not wish to ruffle feathers. i wonder if i wore a skirt and heels if the answer would have been different. probably not. anyway doesn't matter, one girlie step at a time...
