Kia Ora,

(You might have gathered I've been hanging around a lot lately, I have time on my hands-I'm on holiday-It's summertime folks) Anyhow....

This thread got me thinking... https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,157195.msg1330759/topicseen.html#msg1330759

There are many of us who have been there and done that (and have the old T shirt in the back of the closet to prove it) , our lives are quite mundane (fully blossomed)  compared to many of the seedling members  here at Susans..

So what if we start a thread of our daily or weekly exploits to really show how there is life after transition and one which can quite often be totally mundane with no frills attached...

BTW the membership into the Old timer's club has no real length of time restriction, in other words you might consider yourself an ol' timer after a couple of years full time(post fully completing everything that you felt you needed to do in order to "Be Who You Are" )...

So what say ya 'ol' timers ? Whose going to take the plunge first?

I can't contribute as I have a few more things to go, but I'd encourage anyone to add their stories! I know sometimes I still get caught up in the "omg so much to do" that I forget I'll probably be alive for 40+ more years and have a normal life after.

Kia Ora,

I guess it's up to me to make the plunge...so here goes nothing...

My mundane day (Saturday) started early I woke around 6am, focus the mind (bringing it into the present moment)...Have breakfast- muesli banana  rice milk and Oolong tea and check the net...The sun is shining there's plenty of blue sky, I think "Ah it's a beach of a morning"...

Then zazen session, after which I slip slap slop on the sun screen lotion, wrap a sarong around the body, on with sun hat and track shoes, pick up beach bag and out to the car...

The beach I use is around a 30 minute walk or five minute drive, I drove ('time is money sunny')...

I park the car in the usual spot at Palm Beach lookout and jog down the bush track to the beach, a jogger greets me as he jogs pass (I'm a very slow jogger especially carrying a backpack)...

The skies are blue the sun is shinning and life's a beach...There are lots of yachts anchored in the bay but not many beach goers at this time of morning (around 9.30am), just a few people (with clothes on) walking their dog companions, a one native naked male (native as in a local who frequents this beach on a regular bases)...

I set up camp, beach mat, book, unwrap and relax..Around an hour they start arriving, some from the yachts row to shore and others have walked across the rocks from 'Big Palm Beach' ...Still not many around half a dozen at the most...Sometime friends arrive and we sit together, but none this morning....

I sit in half lotus position, I find this the most comfortable position when seated on the ground, and I begin to ponder then solve all of life's problems and the mysteries of the universe (I do all this comfortably within 10 minutes)...

Around 11.30 the sun's rays are hot and so am I, but I decide not venture into the water, by now there are more people arriving so I pack up, wrap up and make my way back up the track to the car...

Arrive home, have a shower, get dressed 'three quarter length pants, sleeveless top, track shoe',  check the net again whilst having a light lunch toast, hummus, bean sprouts...Then out the door with another backpack on heading on foot for Oneroa village centre(a twelve minute walk) where I was hoping to shop at the local Red Cross op shop, it was closed...So I head to the local Four Square Store/Convenience store/ Grocery shop to buy an avocado and Falafel Mix ( I like making falafel burgers)...Exchange pleasantries with shop staff and say "Kia Ora" and exchange smiles with a few locals and tourists as I walk back...There's more clouds occupying the blue sky now...

On the way home I stop to help a lost bumble bee who was laying on its back on the foot path, I help it upright and put it on the grass verge close to some flowers...Then closer to home I spied a Monarch butterfly caterpillar making its way across the road possibly to meet its 'flat' mate  ;) ( the width of the road would be like the Grand Cannon in caterpillar distance) ...There was nothing on the other side of the road that would be of any practical use to the caterpillar, so I carefully picked it up and placed it on the swan plant growing close to the side of the road where it came from...

Arriving home I put the jug on and made a nice cup of Chrysanthemum tea with a dash of local honey (for my hayfever)... Rang my son, he's in Auckland the city at the moment sightseeing with his Hungarian girlfriend...

Now I'm sitting at the computer typing this out and deciding what to have for dinner....

Today as been just how I like Saturdays to be, not too little and not too much... So as you can see it was a mundane day in the life of a post everything trans-woman ...At times 'life's a real beach' but I just go with the flow and enjoy it ;) ;D

I'll cook dinner 'falafel burger and salad' then zazen and watch TV on demand "Corro street" (I don't have a TV-NZ went digital on the first of December without me)...

This 2012 youtube clip I found is from little Palm Beach(not by someone I know - just random) when the dolphins came to play...

Tomorrow might be another beach day, Monday's work as usual....
