Living here in Australia we pretty much get all the media from the UK & US that really matters, this morning while watching the morning news (its bad, cheesy & poorly done most of the time) I saw a story of the new media "super stars" "Transgendered stars".

I've followed Carmen on youtube and over the past year exchanged a few PM's as well, shes down to earth and to be honest, I had no idea that she was the transgirl that people pushing for Victoria's Secret.
Anyway, up in my RSS on Readkit kept coming this story of 2 transgirls putting Katie Couric in her place I ended up having a look.

This girl handled it with the up most grace, I would have got up & slapped Katie, maybe worse. Its a question that I hate getting from people and one of the reasons I don't disclose my transpast, I lie about it and dodge any question I get and the people who know are the very people I want to know.

If you haven't seen the interview, you can find it on youtube & google, I think everyone should follow this down to earth, wonderful girl!

Lets hope VS wakes up and sees the good in having a transgirl as an angel would do.

A few of my male friends have stated in the crude male way that "they'll do her", so I guess she's breaking down barriers as well
Yes! I'm single
And you'll have to be pretty f'ing amazing to change that

never heard of CC but googled and find lots of freaky drag stuff that is just rubbish .

It may be because before she cam out as trans and transitioned she was a drag queen.

I like her. She responded nicely in the interview. I did get a chuckle when Katie asked the surgery question and it sounded like she went "shhh shhh shhhh!" Lol. How often I'd love just to say that to people. But after that she gave a very articulate and good answer.

Lilac, "drag" is a form of gender expression, just as valid in our community as being TS, non-binary, agender, or anything else.  Some of the nicest members here are crossdressers and have been drag performers.  It is not "freaky" or "rubbish."  It may not be your style, but there is no reason to put these folks down.
