Hello everybody! I'm Aubrey, a 35 year old MtF from Texas. I've currently been on HRT for 2 1/2 years. My life has moved at a whirlwind pace this last year with me getting everything together to shake off my birth gender and move forward. I'll have a court appearance here in a few weeks to get my middle name legally changed (Aubrey is my actual birth first name, so it's a keeper. Thanks, mom!) After that, it's a lot of running around to get my documentation changed, which this state likes to make incredibly difficult. By the way, for those of y'all that didn't know, there's been a recent change to the rules for Social Security. You can literally get your gender marker changed with nothing more than a letter from your doctor stating that your in transition. I know, I know, having your gender changed on your Social Security doesn't mean a whole lot, but it helps in the overall scheme of things if everything matches in the end. I'm also having FFS with Dr. Lazaro Cardenas in late March/early April, so I'm very excited/scared about that. Wow! Ok, I'm rambling, which I have a tendency to do. In any case, hi again! *waves excitedly*

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Welcome Aubrey!  A former Dallas-area resident here, back in southern California.

Sounds like you've got your show on the road!  We have quite a few Texans here, so you are in good company.  :)

A big warm welcome to the family from your sister North of the Red River! Fact is I am seeing a therapist on campus at Oklahoma State, not the red school. I just met a new sister from Kansas today so it looks like our part of the world is well represented here. I even live 20 minutes away from yet another girl here. We might all have to plan a trip on the Heartland Flier and get together sometime. Anyway, you have found a very special family to join. If we don't have the answer, there is no question. There is so much knowledge, personal stories, caring , sharing and just plain fun at this wonderful place. Feel free to learn, ask, rant, vent or find a shoulder to cry on. Here is a BI HUG ( :icon_hug:) to get your journey with us started off right. When you get 15 post's, feel free to PM me if you need anything. :)
