Girl Scout Cookies 2014! What are your favorites? (Poll)

It's that time again.  My three daughters were all Scouts.  Girl Scout cookies have been in the house every year since 1993.

Some cookies have multiple names, because more than one bakery is used to manufacture them.

I have my personal favorites.  Alas, some have been discontinued.

Samoas are the best by a wide margin.

Tagalongs are pretty good too.

Never liked Thin Mints. Mostly because I don't like mint.

I love the somoas/caramel delights or whatever they are called now.  And this year I did try the raspberry citrus crisps and they were good too.

The Di-si-dos peanut butter cream sandwiches were based on Burry's Gauchos.  Burry's was one of the bakers of GS cookies at one time.

Here were the ones I was sad to see go ...

Aloha Chips
Aloha Chips were around for only a couple of years in the early 2000s and sold only in certain areas of the country, but they're still mentioned in online forums and articles dedicated to Girl Scout cookie nostalgia. They were dotted with white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. - These were really good.  White chocolate and macadamias are a match made in heaven.

Kookaburras
Some remember these as Kit Kats in cookie form. Kookaburras had layers of wafers and caramel that were coated in milk chocolate. - Mmm, the memories!

I don't remember this one, but it sure sounds good ...

Juliettes
Juliettes were supposedly named after the Girl Scouts' founder, Juliette Low. In some parts of the country, they were called Golden Nut Clusters. With milk chocolate, caramel, and pecans, they developed a wide fan base during their run from the 1980s to the mid-'90s.

I purchased nine boxes, sadly there has been some inventory shrinkage. Maybe I should visit a kiosk to get replacements.

I purchased yesterday, one box each of Tagalongs, Samoas, and Thanks-a-Lots.

They are mysterious disappeared when my daughter returned to college today.

I can eat a whole box of thin mints. Sooo good. I like them with some vanilla ice cream. I usually make myself some mini ice cream sandwiches. :9
