Laser vs waxing

I am weighing my options. So far laser seems doable. The pricing for this is 300 for 1 hour or 200 for 30 mins.
Waxing is 50 for the first session, but i dont know the regular rates.
Also i dont know my pain threshold in my places.

My plan is to get full body waxing then facial laser.
If there is a better way, please comment and let me know.

300 per hour for laser seems strange. It's usually done per treatment or by package? Also is that the price for just the face (USD?) because if so, that's rather high (although I suppose it's not high of by the hour, since it takes just a few minutes to do the face)

Again, I'm confused. A session for the face and neck takes about 5, maybe 10 minutes at the very most.
And that's for full face (lip, cheeks, sideburns, chin, neck). Those prices are steep, I would ask around, and look for a place that sells packages (face should be about 800-900 for a reasonable price, for 6-8 sessions, which you will likely need as a minimum).

I have never heard of laser being a permanent solution for facial hair. I have never met or spoken to anyone who made that claim. I have never even seen any practitioner who made that claim. Reduction yes, but elimation? Never heard of it.

Laser is temporary as is waxing, even for body hair. Best advice. Find a salon you like and have them do a test patch. Any reputable place will do it. Then judge the results for yourself.

Laser is permanent reduction, I.e. it cannot remove all hair, but what is removed is permanent. Also, a single test patch wouldn't give you an idea of the final resilt, since it takes multiple zaps in the same spot (several weeks apart) to clear that spot.

I think she meant waxing test spot.
I doubt they have lasers at a salon.

I meant both. Where I live they do laser at spas, salons, everywhere. I have done it a few times on different parts of my body.

Waxing is just ripping the hair out. It works perfectly but its temporary. After years of HRT your body (not facial) hair gets thinner. At this point I wax my upper body once every 8 weeks, its $50. I shave my legs and arms. Face, I had laser followed by electrolysis.

If I had it do over again would not have wasted the money on laser for face. Just do the electro. Its permanent and cheaper in the long run. But it all depends. Laser really irritated my face, all of the different ones I tried. Electro does sometimes, you need a good practitioner. Point is to arrive at a point where you dont have hair. Reality is it never really happens. But everyone is different. Lots of women have body hair.

Yeah, cool, so check around with salons and dermatologists, maybe you can find a better price and packages.

Laser cost depends on where you go, how new and fancy the equipment is and how skilled the operator is. If possible, try and find a people who live where you do and talk to them. A lot depends on all of these things and then the random variable of your skin color and hair color. Best is lots of contrast, worst is very little. I went to a place that claimed to have a new fancy machine that worked great for blonde hair on white skin which is me. Not true in my case. Not worth the money, i wanted the area behind my knees done, hard to shave there. Sigh.

I just want it for my face and chest.
I might do full body a couple times to get rid of the male hair.

Tho laser burns the folicle so it does not regrow. Its possible that it could heal but if done right it probably shouldnt grow back.

Well try it. It just doesnt seem to work that well in real life. It gets some hair but not nearly all. Depends how fussy you are.

Focus on your face. Its the one part you cant cover. And you look different without the hair. Your face is slimmer.

You can do electro on your chest but why bother? Just wax and enough time on HRT and a lot goes away. I only have fine hair on mine after two months. Its not attractive but no more than lots of cis females have. Of course, I am  hyper sensitive to it. All females have velus hairs, those are the fine ones. Even they bother me and lots get there faces waxes.

Possibly at the place you're checking out, but their price on laser is unusually high.
Plus, one session of laser takes 5, maybe 10 minutes at the very most, electrolysis takes far longer.
