Doubts about leave hormones before of blood tests

Hi, my endocrinologist said me I have to leave of take the estrogens and anti-androgens that I´m taking for my own. He told me I have to leave them for 20 days to a month so then I will be able to do the blood tests and finally he will prescribe me other kind of pills. I would like to know which effects could have to leave these meds for a month?. He said me that nothing would happen but I would like to hear your opinion. Thank you very much to all!    The anti-androgen I´m taking is flutamide and estradiol valerate as estrogen.
