It's a war movie, and it's not.  Some will call it "propaganda," yet it is based on a true story.  It is about gallantry from unexpected sources.  Really the film revolves around relationships and doing what is morally right.

It is the story of a four-man Navy SEAL team in Afghanistan, tasked to remove a high value target - an al Qaeda leader - in 2005.  The mission goes terribly wrong when the team is stumbled upon by Pashtun goat herders.  The team leader decides not to kill unarmed civilians and releases them, compromising the mission.

The tribal Pashtun people live by an ancient code of conduct called Pashtunwali.  One of the principles of Pashtunwali is Nanawatai (asylum).  Nanawatai plays a key role in the survival of Petty Officer Marcus Lutrell.

This film is rated R for both the violence of graphic combat and the language of the SEALs.   Moving, thought-provoking, and surprising.

Edit - typo Rated R

I've seen the trailer for that. It looks interesting. That and I really like Mark Wahlberg.
