I'm not sure how to answer these questions myself (because explaining stuff is something I'm terrible at) so I'll just put these up there for you guys and girls to help me explain:

Are you truly Transgender if you find women's clothing uncomfortable?
(I don't actually know the answer to this one .-. but it gets asked to me after I tell them I don't like wearing women's clothing due to the fact it's really uncomfortable to me)

What is a Transgender?
(I try all I can, but I just can't answer this one where people can understand it)

I sure did the first time out. It didn't fit well, I was always afraid of something slipping and showing a tuft of hair where women don't have hair. And nearly everyone finds bras uncomfortable.

What is a Transgender?

First of all, we normally don't say "a transgender", we say "a transgender person".

Now for your answer. I say:

"Everyone has a piece of their brain that expects them to be a certain gender. For most people, this gender matches their body sex. For reasons we don't understand, some people are born so that this part of their brain does not match their body. Such people are called transgender people."

If they want to know more:

"Transgender people experience an intense need to live and present as a member of the gender in their brain. It can be a serious condition. Depression and even suicide are common among those who ignore being transgender. And no one has found a way to make it go away. Fortunately, living as a member of one's internal gender is usually a very effective treatment."

Hope this is what you're looking for.

A minor nit:

Personally, I'm not convinced that everyone has a piece that expects them to be a certain gender, though I can see that a lot of people do.

Speaking (only) for myself, although I am male-bodied, I don't have a sense of having any intrinsic maleness beyond that.  I don't feel particularly female, either, even though I sometimes think I might have been happier if I had been born that way.  (Or maybe not....)  Gender has always felt like a pile of expectations that other people dump on me, not something that comes from inside me.

I confess, it makes it hard for me to imagine what it would be like to be trans (or cis, for that matter.)

Again, another thing I remember saying too. Starting to feel like I"m trolling but I"m not. This is either real or I'm nuts. or maybe a combo of them both.

Which question do you remember asking?

compared to well worn jeans and  tshirt a full outfit of womens clothes does feel uncomfortable and impractical which is exactly how its supposed to be - like everything else its just a matter of finding personal preferences - for me that is zero trousers and heaps of skirts and pretty tops and sweaters along with a wide selection of heels and furry boots. and handbags to go.
