I am very much looking forward to the many more, I am going to get dressed to the nines this morning and try out a new church that I was invited to visit yesterday afternoon.
see how it goes, i have had very mixed resolve with church peeps so not going alone, but did meet with the pastor first he was welcoming so maybe this one will work out.

Hey Jerri,

That must have felt really awesome.

Last Friday, I had some people come over from my church to thank me for joining and when they were praying for me , it felt so wonderful when they were using the pronouns of 'she' and 'her'.

Hi Gina,
o my it sure was an awesome experience. I also was invited to a new church, spent half the day yesterday meeting new people and having some fantastic conversation with the minister and his wife. they introduced me during the service and truly were totally supportive. His phrase was not church as usual but church unusual. I am really seeing some positive actions and results as my confidence grows. anyway all is good well at least most (gigle)
take care

Y'know Jerri, it's really so wonderful how people can be so supportive towards us. What denomination is the church that you went to?  A lot of people are surprised when I tell them that I joined a Baptist church, and that they've accepted me. I guess they're more open minded then people give them credit for. Keep up the good work, sweetheart!  :)

thanks Hockey,
it sure helps to have people notice, it takes a good bit of ourselves to move forward with who we are
Gina,
this church is non denominational it is an inter faith group, very non traditional or not so conventional anyway, I was one of the youth ministers at the babtist church here and as I came out, I of course had to stop my youth program and decided (or was asked to to move on) to protect the church from any tough stands from the members and having a transsexual working with the troubled youth, I am actually native raised so i have been rather non traditional most of my life. and this sure seems comfortable so it is good for me.
