i emailed a local support group

i'm young and i don't have my license and i don't have anybody accepting in my life so i can't physically go to a support group. i decided to email a support group and tell them my situation. so far they haven't replied, but do you think they will do anything about it? like reply and give me some advice or support?

I have no idea on how that particular group works so can't really answer your question. For me, Susan's is better than any emailed support group. Why not just come here?

Before I went to the support group that eventually helped me discover I was trans, I emailed. There was no response. I almost didn't go. Shudder to think of where I'd be today if I hadn't.

I have also had less than spectacular results from emailing support groups. As Suzi said - just go. There is no better way to judge what the group is about and whether they will be a group that you find helpful. In my experience i've found that groups come in lots of flavors and have different areas that they focus on; some groups I found weren't especially friendly to new people and so were less than helpful and some other groups were extremely welcoming/good. You just have to find one that suits you, and the only way to do that is to visit them.
