Testicular Cancer

Hi, everyone, I was trying to find some information about HRT and Cancer.





What is the risk of testicular cancer for mtf that did not have the orchi? Does the risk increases as time passes by ?

I am certainly no expert, but I have never heard of this as a problem for MTFs, the way cancer seems to be for our FTM brothers.

Have you heard of this being a problem?

Most of the Male cancers (Testicular, Prostate) have to a degree a dependance on Testosterone.

Anti-Androgens (along with a low dose of Estrogen) is a well documented treatment of Male cancers.

I would suspect the risk is greatly reduced.

Post SRS, you still have the remains of the prostate gland, I know no cases of MTF TS, having Prostate Cancer (Although the risk of other cancers, breast etc) obviously increases.

my mtf friend said that the risk of testicular cancer is increased if we do not get an orchi, i was really suprised to hear that , so i don't know. Thanks for answering.

Because of disposal of estrogens and estrogen mimicking chemicals into the environment, it has been theorized that everything from female characteristics in male fish, to testicular cancer are the result. There is no current evidence to make this link.

This is probably how your friend heard about a link between female hormones and testicular cancer. Only thing is, there is no such link, at least not proven in any way. It's just theories that are not supported, at this point. To the best of my knowledge there is no connection between HRT and testicular cancer and as others have mentioned, antiandrogens are actually prescribed to prevent testicular and prostate cancer, which need testosterone to grow.
