My name is Evelyn, I'm new here and would like to give some of my techniques for starting transition. Almost a year and five months ago i started hrt, and about 9 years i believe, I started dressing up. Over the years I've developed and collected information and rituals i use daily. For one I've been using a heating pad that I microwave to bring blood flow to my breasts when they are developing. It seems to work to an extent (transition is super slow so i have learned). I also had a good amount of muscle build beforehand so it added something to work off of.

You will soon figure out I am a tomboy, I dress in a variety of clothes. Some are long homemade skirts, and others that I didn't at first see myself wearing, like classy business woman clothes. I guess the hormones did some work to my brain lol! Along with how to cry! I have held in a lot of my problems an it made me jaded and i wish i was this happy a while ago. Oh how stress release has been a blessing. Advice for stress management will be posted, along with beauty and just all around tips, and some of my options too, if you don't mind that.

Hi, Eve.  I said hello over in your introduction.  I glad to see you branching out.

"Tomboy" is alright with me!  I am super impressed you can make your own clothes.

I am a big believer in breast massage, so you idea about a warming pad seems like genius.  Thanks.

Thanks!  ;D my method is using either rice or corn in a fabric tube.

Hi Evelyn :D
Just wanted to know were you reasonably 'buff' or had a very lean and toned body before you started hrt and how is it now compared to back then?

12-5-2014 start of hrt.

I wasn't so much of buff, more of toned. And now its like a womans tone. It seems harder to keep toned.

True, the replacement (or displacement) of T by E will affect muscle tone.  But for some of us, muscular women are attractive.  I swoon over the female Olympic swimmers  ;)

I'm for the Iron man competition women with their short hair. But yes, i have a totally different tone overall from the reduced t and gained e. I am happy that my body tone changed so much. I take my estrodiol tabs via lip, just let them sit there and do their thing. Not sure if that's advised, but i believe it stays near my face. Now i only shave once every 3 days not every morning. Even with a slight 5, i can pass from facial exercise. Lip and forehead building flexs. They have been permanent as far as i can tell, just muscle memory like singing on key, its a sweet spot.

Hi Evelyn. Welcome, I'm sure your tips and opinions will be welcome. Right now I don't wear much makeup, never really had to to pass, but I'd like to know more and how to apply more sparingly but tastefully, if you get my meaning, lol! ;)

:P I believe scrubbing the face before shaving is good, i made a post about my shaving route. But as of minimal makeup is good, i use a variable amount, from nothing to a lot. With makeup I'll only get cheap lipbalm, besides that all from $7 ^. When i want a minimal amount applied, i go for either brown or purple eye liner with a shimmering gloss or just chap stick. And when applying said eyeliner, i stretch the outer portion of my eye and swipe lightly from the outer corner in and further out and occasionally do the same for my upper lid  when using black. I found that different eye depth tells you how to apply and what colors to apply.

Light hands are a must, and pencils are a waste of money in my view. I go for the twistable eyeliners. Liquid is hard to use as a beginning tool. It's not easy explaining applications through writing for me. But I'll help you as much as i can.

Oh that is good news for me to reduce my muscle mass :D I just hope it works just as well in the future when I start hrt ^^

I didn't say anything about reducing it, muscle is what keeps you alive.  ???
  •

Annabelle

Haha what I meant is losing some of the bulk I have so I look more like an athletic female rather than a body building female.

Ok, though muscle burns and inhibits fat. So have some with you.

Thanks Evelyn for your tips. I'm Native American and have a slightly darker skin tone than most people. I get it about eyeliner but am unsure what else would be best to enhance my features. Any ideas?

A nice foundation is needed for eye shadow and blush to be applied. Just follow your bone structure and try new things. YouTube probably has good introductory lessons on self application. Trial and error was my starter, and even looking in vogue and cosmo were helpful to find the ideal application. But as for color of foundation goes, match up your foundation with your inner wrist. It's closest to the color needed to blend with your face. Even asking for assistance is not bad. Just follow the facial structure just below the cheekbones, that's my spots.

Thanks Evelyn. I do watch and download many You Tube video's but I did not know about the inner wrist thing when selecting foundation. It's tips like these from those more experienced I'm looking for. It is appreciated! ;)
