Ok, first, I'm MtF. I've ALWAYS disliked this hair on my body and wish it never came at all. I have shaved, but that takes a large chunk of time to do the whole body.. and after shaving my legs, if I re-shave them, they end up getting irritated and bleed. But, anyway, I even once tried a cream hair removal that you use in the shower, leave on x amount of time, then wash off, and it barely removed anything and the hair grew back anyway. :P What I came to realize is, I need a permanent hair removal solution, so I thought of this ---> http://susans.org/wiki/Electrolysis but, after reading that, I just don't even know what to think anymore. The pain part was bad enough, but then reading I'd have to have the hair grown and showing (I'm full time as myself so yeah...) and that it took this person 2 years minimum just to remove a BEARD was the moment the reality of the situation hit me. :( I'm to the point of giving up and crying even and getting depressed. I never asked for this stupid hair nor did I (Least I hope not) ask to be born this way and the hair serves no purpose but to keep you warm and if women can stay warm and live without that hair, then so can guys, thus it REALLY serves no purpose and it looks disgusting too. :( So, I am asking everyone, IS there a permanent way to remove the hair that works and that won't take years (1 year I guess is fine but I'd prefer a lot shorter...) and (preferably) that I don't have to walk around with a beard or hair on my body and also, that HOPEFULLY isn't too painful and last but not least, that doesn't have side effects and can leave my body scared? No really, there HAS to be a better way to permanently remove hair from the body? :( Last attempt, I doubt it but I don't suppose that wiki in what it said is wrong? :(

IPL or laser will work within a year and its less painful than electro, in that the pain doesn't last as long as it takes a lot shorter.

Indeed. Depending on your skin tone and hair color, laser is the way to go. Save electrolysis for those few hairs that are too light in color for the laser to fry.

AH... Shaving for the first few times is a pain ask any ciswoman when they first started and most if not all will tell you they had the same miserable problems that you have. The skin really needs to get used to it. I have been shaving since my teens and underarms and inner thighs were the worst on being irritated. I would have to let the hair grow a little and then shave again. You can look into laser but I found it is way over my budget like a lot of women do. Nair and other depilation creams, that will burn the crap out of your skin if you're not careful.

If you are just starting with the hair removal process and you find that laser and all the other tech stuff is over your budget, go buy a good beard trimmer and shear the hair just as short as it will go. Shear it everyday because the lack of the longer hair will allow your skin to get used to rubbing against clothing and so on. Once that is comfortable then start shaving with the razor and use conditioner and shaving cream and a new sharp razor and do not apply too much pressure. And never forget that exfoliating helps. Just like ciswomen the more you do it the faster it will go. It takes me about 10 extra minutes in the shower so eventually it will speed up. I've tried the waxing deal but to keep it up you have to let the hair grow enough and like you, I feel nasty with even a little hair on my body.
