So I live on the Georgia border right near Augusta, Ga. As you may know we got hit with an ice storm earlier this week. So did much of the rest of south right here.

I'm hoping that all my brothers and sisters here who live near this mess are okay.

I've been without power since Wednesday night. Thanks to these lovely Georgia pine trees our fair state looks like a war zone right now. They're cleaning it up fast now that the ice has melted but it is a mess.

For those who don't know or might be laughing at the south at this point it should be known the Georgia pines grow like weeds, are soft and brittle, and are very heavy. Add an ice storm and these things were raining broken branches, pine cone clusters and entire trees on power lines, cars, and houses. We get snow and ice about as often as we get earth quakes which is almost never. That to is ironic because we had a little 4.4 tremmor here last night as well.

Well I think that's enough of my rambling on my lunch. Stay safe stay warm and I'm off work on getting more of the trees out my back yard.

Stay safe Christine!

I used to live just outside Orlando, FL and one time we actually got some snow that stuck to the ground. It'd be nothing up North, but it can be quite bad down south where they don't have much sanding truck or snow plows.

I'll be bearing down for another 6-10 inches up here in New England.
