Doc Noticed My Chest

With the medical world, I don't much care.  Given some of the revolting things they must deal with, breasts on someone presenting as a guy is pretty much nothing.  That said, my GP is my prescribing doc for HRT and I don't see anyone else much.  I get looks elsewhere both at work and out and about but so far, nobody has commented.  I guess I hadn't really been aware of how guys do obviously stare at breasts though.

Went to the physio for a shoulder issue a week ago and he wanted to see my shoulder and shoulder blade moving through different exercises.  I had a fitting tank top on and took it off so he could see properly.  I quickly explained the breasts (MTF not presenting as female!) and he apologised profusely.  I just said its not an issue and lets get the shoulder treated.  He got me to put my top on as soon as he had seen enough (apologising again).  What did I learn?  I love my breasts (and all the other changes) and in situations like this, if I am confidant and open, any embarrassment seems short-lived and may not even be mine. Also, a bra might have been a good idea :eusa_doh:

I'm a full A cup right now, actually just a bit over, as my 38A bras are a tad tight now but I've not yet gone out and looked at B cups yet. This is after 16+ months of HRT.

My family doctor said teen girls average growth over most of a 7 year period, typically about 12-13 to 19-20, and there's still filling in going on in the early twenties.

So patience is the watchword with breasts. :)

...any embarrassment seems short-lived and may not even be mine....

This is something I deal with all the time. I go to a cash register to buy something while I am at work (I guess you could say presenting male, but really androgynous) and they are like "Welcome Ma'am...er..sir...or ma'am I am so sorry!" Like they flip out and apologize but, I could care less. I am well aware my appearance as well as voice is very androgynous, I am not embarrassed so why should the cashier be so embarrassed. I just don't care too much, I am there to buy something, so I don't bother even correcting the cashiers let them sweat out the worry and embarrassment because I know what I look like and I don't care. I would get offended perhaps if I were wearing a dress and makeup and someone made a point to say "Sir" as that is just being an A-hole but, otherwise why bother with embarrassment?
15 years on Susans, where has all the time gone?

yea, totally agree. for one thing your the one that made the choice to do this so just deal with it. I'm pretty open about my breasts sitting in my regular coffee place. guys will sometimes stare at my breasts through the window, kind of funny.

Madison (kiara jamie)

so i had almost no breast growth for the first 5 months on hrt, but i have been on progesterone for the past month and have noticed a significant growth since starting prog, its the one thing that i think all transwomen should look into because before i was on progesterone i was already debating a BA and now i might just be big enough with the growth that i am seeing now

progesterone is worth looking into imho

I really want to give progesterone a try but my doc is not a huge fan.

Whelp... I just bought my first bra. 36 B padded underwire push up. Fits like, not a glove, I was going to say glove. Fits like a bra. I guess I can't fault the doc for noticing. I was like, there is no way I will fit into this at the store...

Eeeeeep!

I'm pretty confused about what size I am. I have the raw measurements and after 5 weeks on HRT I've grown 6cm or 2" or so.  This is more than I dared hope for at my age.

I have a couple of bras that fit band-wise and they're 85Cs.

Depending upon your outlook on things, my cup is still half empty or already half full ;D

I prefer the third option: all the way full. Half full of air, half full of water XD.

Yeah, my band and cup sizes are not universal. To small for a 38 band, too large for a 36. An A cup in a 38... but the store did not have that size, it is a bit manly... so I went for a 36 B. Almost perfect. The cups do not runneth over but they are not empty either.

I'm just starting my second round of P today. If it's anything like the first round I'll have extremely itchy boobs and feel a little PMSish for the next 9 days, but i'll do whatever it takes to get the boob fairy to visit

P has already made me extremely hungry today  ::)

My doc told me that P causes breasts to grow faster but it makes no difference in overall size. I almost stopped him right there.

"Uh, Doc, how could you possibly know that unless you tried the same person with progesterone from the start and without ever going on progesterone from the start and then compare results? And then repeat with other people hundreds and thousands of times?"

That one is impossible to know for sure, at least the way he stated it.

I think what he was trying to get at is P may make developments happen much faster, and he didn't want to give it to me two weeks into HRT, because there was no talling at that point how well I would adjust to transition. Perhaps I will ask again.

Still in the closet and I have a GP in Phuket Thailand but in the City I reside I dont have a GP, I am afraid they will talk. There is this doctor patient confidentality but I dont trust it. But I have been thinking I may need to have GP here that knows what I'm doing in case I have an emergency. Yes, taking off my shirt with a B cup will blow my cover but I do need a doctor for emergencies. Can't decide to see one now or wait till its needed.
