My name is Kain, birth name Kara. I'm a genderfluid, bisexual junior in college who's majoring in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in Musical Theater. You can call me by either name, it just depends on the day which one is more resonant with me. I've been going through something of a masculine period, so currently, Kain is a more appropriate name to call me.
What is there to say about me? I love musicals. I'm a complete sucker for Disney. I am a huge RPG fan, in the tabletop, Western and JRPG senses. I have a weakness for anime- my favorite is currently Fate/Zero. If you listen to my iPod, you'll find a mix of VOCALOID, varying symphonic metal bands and rock bands, with the odd soundtrack mixed in.
I'm an amateur writer and composer. My account name on both authonomy and soundcloud is KainAlexander, feel free to look me up. I'm also on
fanfiction.net as DarkenedFantasy, though I seriously need to update my profile. I look at it and cringe with how unprofessional it is. And I haven't updated anything in forever, so there's that.
I'm out on Facebook and to most of my friends, but not to my parents. They still haven't quite dealt with the bisexual thing yet, and that's been out there since high school, so I don't think dropping the genderfluid revelation on their heads would be a particularly good idea. Like I said, I'm currently in more of a masculine mood, so I've been trying to get my friends to call me by male pronouns- with varying degrees of success.
And I'm seriously rambling here. Geez. Get me started talking, it's hard for me to stop. Anyway. I visited these forums before when I was in high school and starting to have questions about my gender identity, but now I've got a more firm idea in mind of who I am, so I'm not nearly as worried about it as I was before. And I felt like a fresh start would be better than lugging around my ancient screen name.
Good to be back here, and glad to find an accepting environment through the internet. ^^
