This is probably overkill of a topic, but I'm just curious to find out when everyone started noticing any kind of breast development, whether its itchy nipples or soreness to full on gynecomastia or small bumps :P. I've seen some people say the first month or two, and others say the first 5 days. Anyone know the exact date where they noticed a different feeling or noticeable appearance (or both) in the chest area? Sorry if this topic has been somewhat overdone >_<

I only started HRT a few days ago, and I the only thing I have really noticed is that stimulating my nipples and breast area really turns me on in a way it never did before.

I'm kind of hoping that the breast growth takes a little bit of time.  Unlike you, I am not ready to go out in the world in girl form yet.  I have a lot of things that need working on, mainly my voice, and my man-arms.

I think you summed it up. They start within a week to a few months... Sometimes never.

Mother Nature is weird.

The vast majority see/fee some difference within the first month according to a poll taken in another forum here. Can't find the link right now.

It is different for everybody depending on many factors including dosage and type of medication you are using.

We can not tell you with certainty that it will happen on the Tuesday after you start HRT.

Three months and then one day in the mirror I was like, wait...what! Suddenly quite noticeable.

I got mine almost immediately after I went up to a full dosage; the pain is pretty much gone at this point, but I'm still noticing some minor growth at the one year mark.  Not that the growth in question is significant, but still...
My gender problem isn't half as bad as society's.  Although mine is still pretty bad.

I always had gynecomastia, but my right breast was clearly bigger than the left.

On the first week of HRT (probably on the third day), my nipples started to get a bit swollen.

After one month fat started to deposit on my breasts and they started to grow in size (the right one still a lot ahead).

On the second month I could notice a small lump behind my nipples and, oh my, they did hurt when touched! I had to learn to avoid sleeping with my back up!  ;)

On the third month the lumps got bigger and my nipples and areolas increased in size.

On the fourth month my left breast grew a lot and now both my boobies are almost the same size. They got clearly noticeable and it's been hard to hide them, mainly because they just love to swing around when I walk  :D

On the last week (almost 5 months) I noticed that my right breast is getting a tubular shape. My areolas are huge (around 5 cm) and, after measuring, I concluded that I am with a 38B cup right now.

Just remembering, breast growth don't follow a steady line. You can pass days without noticing anything and, when you are starting to get concerned, suddenly they decide to grow!

Good luck to you :)

I would say 1 week I noticed my nipples got more erect and a minor small bump under the nipple. The soreness started and progressed steadily. I am sore now and the peas under the nipples are large rings. Funny, when I was exercising tonight I did not have a sports bra. My wife commented I am bouncing all over the place :)

I was on spiro by itself for 4 months before getting on estrogen as well.  For me, breast changes started after about week two on spiro, with just a dull itching.  They got up to about a 32B by the time I got on estrogen, most of their tissue was very conical by that point.  Estrogen has filled them out a little, I'm a 32D now at month 2.75 (6 more days till i hit the month 3 mark).  Not completely sure how I got to where I am now so quickly, but I know when I was 10 I had a horrible soreness behind my nipples that lasted for months, and looking back, I must have developed breast buds back then.  In any case, genetics are crazy.

32D in under three months? Holy doritos!

I've been on spiro and estradial for three weeks starting today and I haven't felt or seen any changes at all... I'm sure I'll see something as the months and years drag on. But I can't help but feel if I haven't seen anything at all yet, that my changes are going to be pretty tame on the stuff compared to most. Bad genes I suppose.

Three weeks is not long and 3 months for that kind of progress is unusual.

5 days was in fact when I went down a flight of stairs and yowled. :) I thought I was imagining things up to that point (and no, I didn't do it on purpose!).

I was a 40C by 3 months, I think. It's been a while...

On the other hand, I'm 99% sure at this point that a quick start didn't mean bigger at the finish - just finished growing sooner. 4 years on HRT this month and I suspect mine are just about done growing, maybe a little filling out left to go. Some women see slow but steady growth for 10 years, though!

I noticed a difference in about an hour, but after three years my boobs haven't grown much at all. They look a lot different, I could NEVER go shirtless while on HRT, but most shirts conceal their size pretty effectively.  :(

About 45 years before I started HRT

After one week my nipples were erect. I felt tenderness and growth within two to three weeks.  Hugs Shannon

One week shy of two months for me.  I woke up and my nipples and breast area around them were sore.  Have passed the 2 month anniversary today.  They are still sore when bumped or pinched, but do not hurt otherwise.

I noticed the very first signs of possible nipple growth, just to the point that maybe they looked the slightest bit more conical rather than completely flat, after about 2 weeks of HRT. Mild tenderness started. I officially hit the "bud" stage where there was a definitive difference in size and shape that was visible in pictures, I could feel a lump under the nipples, and soreness really started, after about 2 months. These buds then continued to progress through the "Tanner II" stage, with budding and aureolar enlargement but no soft tissue, until around the 6-month mark. Soft tissue, actual round breast tissue, started coming in at 6 months, and they've been progressively looking more and more like adult female breasts ever since, with a Tanner-III-type appearance. Soreness is still ongoing, and seems to come and go in spurts.

Every girl is different.. some grow fast and some are slow... it depends on genetics

me, i was a fast grower in the beginning, but slowed down as time when on..

I remember I started HRT on a Monday... and the Tuesday morning I felt my nipples were a bit itchy.. during the first week my nipples started to get a bit swollen. I had a small lump behind my nipples and my aureola's increased in size by the end of week 2. I reached A cup by the end of month 1... B cup by end of month 3.. then things slowed down... C cup by the end of year one..

I only reached a D cup almost 2 years into HRT... I think I have very nice breasts... My roommate who is a girl has seen my topless, when we tan in the privacy of our yard says I have stunning breasts.. I think her's are not too bad either.. she has larger aureola's than me, but she only has C cups. We both tan topless, as we both hate strap marks... it looks stupid when we wear strappy tops/dresses.

my aureola's are about 4.5cm wide with nice size nipples.. With D cups you do feel some weight so a good bra is important.
What helped my breasts mature and fill out, I took a herbal medication.. with consent from my doctor.. to lactate... I did get to the point where i expressed milk...expressing milk is wonderful.. i loved the feeling of the pump sucking on my breasts.. and this made my breasts round out.

I would love DD breasts, but my breast growth is done... maybe later on I will get implants to boost my size to DD..

Breast growth is painful and a padded bra is a welcome form of protection,, and learn to sleep on your back, especially when you are budding..
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

oh noleen... music to my ears...

you are one lucky woman! can't wait to start hrt!

HelloKitty

It can take some time, no worries. When I first started hrt, I noticed at about the 3 week mark that my nippels were swelled and hurt a hella lot. My breasts buds came in a couple weeks later and over a few weeks more they became rather pointy.

At 5 months now my arealas are the diameter of a Canadian $2 coin (they are LARGE) and I'm currently a 34 C cup.
So ya just never know how it will go.
