A shocking response from a friend.

So i recently came out to a new friend that i made. Now them being ok with my being trans wasn't the surprise, the surprise was when she said "i kinda suspected it because you have a very feminine jaw line and facial shape".
Has anyone else herd something like this? Also from looking at my avatar pic is it true? I haven't had FFS and am wearing minimal makeup (foundation, eyeliner and shadow, and lips) and have actually had people who have seen the pic think i was full time already.

My female friends all told me that they weren't surprised, when i came out to them. They told me it was because they had always seen me as one of the girls, because my attitude and my behavior was always like i was just another girl in the group. All my guy friends were shocked as all hell though, but thats because i never let my guard down around them.

Definitely this!!! They had this look like their own Firehouse was burning down. What they didn't know was it had been smoldering for a while. I am just really glad to be retired now. No more fake Alpha Dog in my life.

Prior to either of my transitions I was told by some women they thought I looked like a woman because of my cheekbones or other features, but it was never floated as a reason for suspecting I was trans*. Like Jessica and Emily it had more to do with my tendency to fit in well with other women.

I've found that the response I get is very gender-dependent.   All my friends have seen me transition from straight-married to gay-divorced to gay-femme to trans.  With my girl friends they mostly welcome me to the club, and for them it's just a case of a boy-girl becoming more of a girl, and not really much of a surprise.   But most of my gay friends have been a little hostile to the idea, although my most recent boyfriend saw it coming for months.

Well to say somethings different...

To the people I ve came out not even a single one has said that "oh well I have suspected it" or something
instead most have asked me if im joking...even though I had long hair , make up , not manly characteristics etc etc...
But hey , they ve told me they thought I was gay,,,
I dunno about you guys but here in Greece you can imagine how rare is to be trans,,,so its either that or I just really dont have any femimine aura etc etc...

The best response I received when I came out was from a close friend who is FTM (and is now my partner)... "It's about f**king time. I knew that the day I met you four years ago, even if you weren't ready to admit it yet"

I came out to an ex gf that I hadn't seen for a few years that recently looked me up on facebook, she said shed always known.

When I came out comments like, 'What took you so long?' and 'Well, that took longer than I thought it would..' and 'That explains a few things.' were all too common.. My personal favourite response to me coming out remains, 'Derrr!', which came from an exGF.. None of my friends was really all that surprised.. Family was a slightly different matter.

Thats the same response my male friends had, they thought I was joking and they asked me for proof or pictures, they literally thought I was taking this joke farther than anything else.... it wasn't until they saw me dressed up in public that they started to believe me (because what guy would go out to a heavily populated club or bar dressed very convincingly as a woman?)

My older brother though, was the only family member who said "Now i understand his behavior a lot better." when my dad told him, which i find especially odd since me and him were never that close. At least not closer than my mom or dad who would've seen it more than him. And even more hilariously, the DJ at a karaoke bar I frequent (before i even said anything) gave me a hug and said "its about ->-bleeped-<-ing time." lol I was in shock for a good half hour after that.

I think other then her response the best one I got was from an ex who I'm now friends with who said  "it's about time, I was almost ready to start buying you panties and force you to admit you were a girl"
