MalorieG

Hello, all

After months of lurking, I finally feel ready to make the plunge and share out with the group  ;)

Some facts about me...I'm a MTF transgender, a fact I've only relatively recently come to terms with, after years of trans thoughts from early on, and later crossdressing that started seriously in college and continued beyond.  Personally and professionally, I'm 27 years old, single (due very much to my trans-ness--hard to have an honest, authentic relationship when you are lying to yourself...le sigh), and I teach elementary kiddos in a public school here in the land of 10,000 frozen lakes, Minnesota, USA.

I've been seeing a psychologist for the past 2 months, and I feel I've learned more about myself and progressed farther on my journey these past 2 months than I have in 2 decades, it feels like.  I'm excited to finally be on the journey towards finding my true self, and hopefully one day finding some real happiness.

Beyond that, I'm signing up here because I'm eager to get to know some friends who share or have shared these kinds of journeys.

Thanks! :D

A big warm welcome to the family Malorie! I love your name by the way. You have found the most special place on the net. This is no mere support site, but a true family of people going through the same things you are and who care for you and want you to succeed. All of the information you get here is priceless because it comes straight from real people actually going through all stages of transition. You will learn what works or doesn't and great tips and suggestions. Feel free to rant, vent, share good news (we like that a LOT), learn or just have fun and meet the rest of the family. Here is a BIG HUG  :icon_hug: to welcome you and make you feel right at home! :)

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Hi Malorie!

I've just embarked on a similar journey, but in a different part of the world. I've been seeing my psychologist for almost two months and making steady progress each day. I hope to share my experiences online to help others.

Alena x
