Correlation vocal chord length and adams apple?

I am wondering for a while about this as it puzzles me a lot. I read occasionally when it comes to male and female voices that with testosterone the voice box drops, grows larger, the vocal folds get longer and this results in an protusion called the adams apple. It seems to me that this is false but I see it repeated again and again in the internet. Does anyone know how this works? What is the correlation between having an adams apple and anything else with the voice box?
Most women who are feeling that they have been born with the wrong gonads like me in my vicinity, that i know of have basically no adams apple, although I know that a lot of transgender women do have that problem. Yet from the women I know, some have very low pitched original voices, some do not. So is that adams apple something independent from voice or pitch or should there be a connection? Admittedly none of us ever has had the vocal chords measured in length, but I assume that a low pitch requires long vocal folds.
Is there any information out there? It is mainly curiousity - does not really change anything in terms of what has to be done.

I would tend to think there is a correlation. My adam's apple was one of the largest out of any of the guys I've known in my life, and my voice used to be very deep- although I didn't like using the low range of my voice.

When I had VFS I was told that my vocal cords were extremely long and thick- outside of what is normal even for a guy. That would seem to make sense why my adam's apple was so huge. It had to support those thick long and strong vocal cords.

Did it matter though? No, not really ;)

I have very visible adams apple but my natural voice pitch is about 180-190 Hz so it is definitely not in typical male range...  I doubt that there is any connection,  or maybe I am an exception.

That is what I'd heard too but I knew a cis guy with quite a prominent Adam's apple and a voice so high that it frequently got him misgendered on the phone as female. Mu voice is deepish but I'm fortunate to have a barely noticeable bump. Was doing a Google image search for "huge Adam's apple" the other night and good lord there are some massive ones out there.
