As you guys probably all know, I'm young and have a very preppy clothing style.

I would get extra-small button ups and polos from the store American Eagle and some small shirts from Abercrombie and Fitch, but they still looked too baggy to be fashionable.  (I'm 5'3", 125 lbs lol)  So this is for all of you little guys out there.

A&F Kids!  Their little boy's section has the same fashionable clothing for much cheaper.  I bought 2 polos and a pair of shorts for $60.00, which would have costs twice as much at the real A&F.  Plus, the shirts fit a lot better, creating the illusion that you can fill out a Men's size.  I got a large in the Polos, I'm working on getting a few button ups.

I'm not so sure about the jeans, but I got a size 16 in the shorts.  Everyone who sees me as a "girl" tells me I have man legs anyway

Back to the shirts.  The sleeves come down to a normal length (not passed my elbows like the others) and the shirts are tight, but baggy enough in the chest to allow for some hiding  ;)

Anyway, if this is your style, go for it.  It's a lot cheaper and looks great.  Even if it's not your style, go for the little boy's section in another store.  For me personally, the clothing looks a lot better.

I found this out also and it has been great! I am 5'6 (get the long pants) and 135 and still fit a boys 16 and size M-L shirt! Its much cheaper and the clothes hang much better on me.  I had never thought to check out the places you suggested so I'll give them a try.

I wish I could do this! Little kids have the coolest clothes -- Pokemon and Power Rangers and all that. Why don't they make stuff like that in my size? Unfortunately, I'm kind of big (not fat, just kind of tall with big shoulders). The jeans make great beer cozies, though  >:D

Good tip, Brady, for the smaller guys out there. Unfortunately, I already shop at the men's Big and Tall store, lol. Geez, wish I could save money like that.

You already are. Imagine how much you'd have to spend if you wore women's clothes.

Ha! Thank God! I just picked up a bunch of clothes at the Deseret and they look great on me. I don't know any chicks who can do that. Maybe my mom, but she's a mom.

I'm lucky to have the head Goodwill store in my hometown. People drop off a lot of their crap there, but the diversity usually allows for me to find a few awesome things. I'm kinda picky so i try on a ton of pants before i settle on a pair that fits just right. I find the guys section is just too big, but i've found a ton of stuff in the girls and kids section that work for me. I have to warn you tho, after finding 2 great pairs of pants, and a few shirts for under 10 dollars you might get annoyed at other stores.

After reading the original post on this thread, I started checking the larger boys' pants in the thrift store where I shop for most of my clothes, and to my surprise found a pair of Lands End cargo pants--in excellent condition--that fit me perfectly.  (Legs not too long, either, no hemming required!)  I scored them for less than a buck.  I never would have thought to check the boys' sizes before, but I definitely will now.  Great tip.

im 5'5 109 pounds and i usually buy medium sized t shirts and straight legged pants. i guess you could say my style is kinda tough looking because im a skater, so. but i also really like the dressy look. i usually buy my stuff from skateshops or H&M. H&M is the best! Their clothes are a great price, and theyre super stylish. Our mall also recently got an Aeropostale, i tried to go in and look but got dirty looks from everyone in the store so i just left...
