My mom found out!

My mom found out....... she took me to go to the gas station which always means it's time for a talk. We talked about a couple things and then on our way home she asked me if I'm gay. I was in so much shock I barely squeezed out no but I am trans. She was a little confused and I explained that I'm a girl inside and a guy outside and we talked a little on that but didn't get very far. I think she was as nervous as I was and didn't know what to say or ask afterward.

My mom though found out and she's okay with it.......I'm holding back tears right now I can't believe it.

Just give her time to get over the shock and fully accept what you told her, OK. I am glad you feel a good sense about it and some relief! There will be more questions so prepare yourself. It may be tough going for a while until she really accepts what you said, so be patient. I am so glad the reaction wasn't anger on her part. Good luck!

I'm not sure where to take this anyway beings I haven't told anyone else and to my knowledge nobody else in the family knows yet. My dad would be weird and confused and distance himself I think and my siblings, well I'm the oldest so and the oldest one besides me is 16. I think my sister might be really supportive I just don't know.

I suppose though it doesn't surprise me that she thought I gay. It's kinda funny but still nerve racking.

I'm so glad she accepted you, I guess dreams can be premonitions of real life. The gay thing is not too uncommon, in a scocity where gays are viewed as feminine.

My mother accepted me last week. I know what your feeling and i'm still somewhat feeling it. It is a very intense shock, you can't believe it's real. Congratulations and welcome to the shell shock club.

its pretty common for a mother or father to act like that, since it is a tough thing to talk to parents about, its was tough for me, but she found out a really bad way which was me ordering some clothes from an online store. it takes time for them to accept it but all in all at least you told her and she accepts it now. hopefully everything works out for you too.

It's definitely strange. Yesterday I just had this light feeling and a weight was lifted finally. One less thing dragging me down and this morning is turning out the same way and I even got up early for work when I'm usually unwilling to even roll my lazy but out of bed.

My mom was a little concerned that it's another 4 and a half years before I can do anything. I think she's also relieved that she doesn't have to deal with it right away either so it gives us plenty of time to work things out. I don't doubt one day she's going to want to talk again. She's definitely nervous about what boundaries to cross which really there isn't but it'll just take time and we have plenty of it.
