See this is why I thought it was highly unlikely Jean Luc Piccard would have been bald in Star Trek Next Gen...surely they old have had the technology by then to totally cure baldness!

The lack of hair (balding) is the ONLY reason I have not begun transitioning sooner.  I don't think we are going to see a cure for this before we're too old to care about it.
10-13 tried mother's finger nail polish, dresses and her heels
23 phase of body building and then suddenly cross dressing and wearing makeup
26 started calling myself Kristy in my voicemail recording
36 saw therapist, went on HRT and partially identified as Kristy
37 moved and started HRT again, dressing a little more feminitely
41 started HRT again, and wife made agreement if I would give up Kristy
45 started HRT again, this time for good, because wife didn't hold up her end of the agreement.  New agreement with 11 year old son and wife is that Kristy be present only at certain times and not around strangers or family, unless they are ready to be a part of Kristy.

The hair growth is a sensitive subject for me.  I feel like if I am going to have to wear a wig with a cap and band on it, then I should just stay home and 'dress'. Otherwise, I should just look for a coonskin hat to wear.  I would be mortified if a wig were to come off in public, and I would be depressed if I could not play with my hair.

A reporter questioned his casting in Star Trek, saying "By the 24th century, wouldn't they have cured baldness?" Roddenberry's response: "In the 24th century, they wouldn't care." :icon_nerd:

Losing some of mine too. Plus it just plain sucks. Wigs for the win. Silliness and all.

Do you know of any wigs out there that don't have those silly straps on the inside and that will not slide off or get pulled off the head?  With my last wig I felt like I should just remain in front of my mirror or only go to dark places at night, if you catch my drift.

I am having a PRP treatment done Monday.  $800.00 and 1 hour. I watched all the videos and did a lot of reading.

When I spoke to the Nurse she asked did I know if I had high T. I said I am pretty sure my T is low :) She said she had the procedure done and it was great. The Doctor explained my hair fell out due to a hormonal sensitivity to T and that it would need to be repeated every 6 months due to the new hair will be sensitive to T. I can not wait !!!!

I am a bit apprehensive about when I tell them I am trans, my t is 25 ng/dl, I am on oral estradiol and finasteride and want a feminine hairline. I will definitely let all know how well it works.

Best of all it is 3 miles from my house!

Jean Luc Picard was offered the cure for baldness, but he turned it down because he's THAT damn awesome. He's the Chuck Norris of the 24th century, except that Chuck Norris say's their can be only one, hence Chuck is still alive in the 24th century and Picard is thus relegated to only being Jean Luc Picard.... it's a head-trip... but that's the temporal universe of star trek for you... :o

Oh and on topic, this is pretty good news for alot of folks =^_^=
