Hey girls
I just found an obgyn that does hrt for trans patients without a letter of rec
I'm really excited but it's expensive and she doesn't take my insurance
Do u think I could ask her to space my follow ups apart more than usual ?
How long a gap between follow ups do u think shell do ?
Thanks everyone !

I personally don't think so. The follow ups are every important when starting so they can see if your levels are correct or if there is some kind of negative reaction to HRT. After a while I am sure she would, but not at first. You need to understand you are going to be altering your bodies chemistry 180 degrees. You need close follow up for a while. :)

I go to the Mazzoni Center and I had my first appt on Sept. 25, my second 30 days later (though I missed it and it was more like 80-90) and my next appt. is in June. At first, they need to do bloodowrk to get initial readings and then a follow-up reading 30-60 days later. After that, it's every six months. So I would tell her how they do it at Mazzoni, since it's considered the high bar for trans care.
