Hello to all :)

I'm new to the forum and confronting the reality of my gender confusion has been difficult to say the least, as I'm sure all of you have experienced at some point. I'm looking to find an outlet, some people to talk to who will understand and not judge. I feel that I am now ready to move beyond solitary questioning and silent research online to sorting out what I want to do to find happiness.

A bit about me :P I live near Sydney, Australia. This year I am to turn 21.

I feel that a male to female transition resonates with me, yet my anxieties paint these feelings with doubt and fear.

If you have any advice to share regarding the first steps to take on this journey; professionals to get in contact with, support groups, etc I would be very grateful :)

Hi, and welcome to Susans! We have people come to visit us from all over the world, expressing different points of view, and you are likely to find someone to help you along your way :) Here are some important links and things to ponder as you begin your journey here.

I'm in Adelaide and there are lots of Aussies here, one of the Sydney girls will be on in a minute to give you some local info.

Hugs and Welcome

Hi Cindy

Thankyou for the welcome :)

I was surprised to get a reply so quick! And from an Aussie too! Haha

I'll give the links a read.

A warm welcome to you from another of the Adelaide peoples..

Trust the girls in Adelaide to post first.

They are only slightly less evil than me.

Welcome from Sydney Shiney.
I am one of the trouble makers from Sydney Cindy mentioned.

Happy to answer questions and point you to the right people to help you deal with how you feel. It is not easy at all.
The hardest thing is speaking up, I know.

There are quite a few here from Sydney who can also help and they will be along shortly.

Anyway don't be afraid or let Catherine brand you like she did me.

Hugs
Jen
So long and thanks for all the fish

A big warm welcome to the family Shiney! We have a huge Aussie group here. Something in the water down under?*giggles* ;D Anyway, you have found THE place for support and caring, non judgmental people who accept you for who you are, period. I am now your sister from the U.S. (Oklahoma). Feel free to rant, vent, learn, share good news (we like that a LOT) or just have some distracting fun and meet the rest of the family. All of the information you will get here comes from REAL people at all stages of transition, from still questioning to Post Op and everything in between. Here is a BIG HUG  :icon_hug: to welcome you and make you feel right at home with us! :)

Looks like we have quite a gang here now in Sydney. Perhaps we can finally rival those feisty gals in Adelaide.

Welcome all and happy to help anyone.

Just wait for Aunty Catherine.
So long and thanks for all the fish

I'm not in Sydney, myself, but my heart is always there, with my girlfriend. I hope to be there soon, too.

Nice to meet you. I'm Stephanie. *warm hug* :)
