Went to breakfast in Santa Barbara this morning.  At the table next to me sat a woman I had worked for to get me through college.  I looked her in the eye and smiled.  She walked out without her recognizing me at all.  I didn't out myself because her husband was one of the most transphobic people I had ever met in my life.

Wow, I worked for you for years and you had no clue!

Thinking about how great it feels to be living as male, without getting into the trans discussion with anyone. Life just feels so...normal and I am amazed at how comfortable I have become with everything. I am also discovering a lot of new aspects of myself. I don't have to worry about being seen as someone I am not, I express myself freely and just feel great. Like there is now room for so much more growth now that I'm at this point. Surgery is still a concern but it feels at this point as if I'm a guy who had hypogonadism or some other condition. It can be a body image killer and dysphoria inducing but I don't feel like "born female and transitioning to male." I just feel like a guy with some  physical issues that need to be addressed.

It took so freaking long to get here between fights with family and hormones taking their sweet time. It literally took me 5 years of crap to make it here. How nice that life is finally stabilizing.

that sounds great birkin.

seem to be pulling out of the dark place today. went over to a friends after work and hung out for hours. had some good talk, sat by the river, sat in the hot tub. then came home and gave the dogs some quality time. I've been so... blah that they just haven't gotten the play and cuddles they deserve.

I'm happy for you Birkin, guess we can say that you have arrived as we know that the biggest percentage of this is all head stuff and once you are able to bulldoze the crap out and can see daylight, everything becomes so much brighter. Kudos!

I think I need to get my eyes checked lol I thought you said boyfriend when you actually said brother. Now it makes sense, was wondering how you has a can't wait to see him again. But haven't seen him except through those means in 14 years. Glad you got to chat with him, even if it was through the evil that is FB. lol You two should plan a get together, if not at your house then somewhere public like, a fast food joint maybe. :)

I told you that it would get that way for you. ^_^ <3x

My brother lives in England so getting together is rather costly. Plus, he doesnt have much interest in coming to the US. Me and my boyfriend, Birkin, however use google hangouts every night and he has been able to visit me twice. I cant

Well, I passed my latest class assessment, which was an accomplishment because I was not at all prepared. So glad I have no in-class assessments again for at least two months :D

Well, this was yesterday, but,
.
.
.
I BOOKED A CRUISE TO THE BAHAMAS!

Third week in October!
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

Turned one of those panties that's designed to shape your waist into a comfortable binder that works pretty well, tomorrow's my first appointment with the gender clinic, and my friends are getting me to Comic Con London because they're awesome and I love them so much.  Today has been a good day.

I went to get my braces checked out and don't have to wear elastics anymore! Then I spent a good few hours walking around the mall with my friends and bought myself a dress that suits me nicely. Aand to finish off my day, I got my eyebrow pierced. I'd been waiting to get it done for a little while, and I'm so happy to have it now. The pain was really nothing and only lasted for a few seconds.
