I had surgery this morning to take out my upper wisdom teeth and after sleeping for a few hours I feel good as new.  The anesthesia has worn off, and there's no pain or swelling, just nothing.  It's amazing.

A few years ago I had the lower ones out, and it was horrific - I seem to remember spending three hours eating a single banana in tiny slivers because that was all I could get in my mouth.

Aah but you're a big boy now and handle this kind of stuff differently. Anyway I think the sockets left by the lowers are bigger and much more sensitive to pressure.

Here's what made me happy. My spouse and I met Julie Blair for dinner out at a nice upscale restaurant. Julie was looking very pretty and pert and being the gracious person she is she politely submitted to my cis gal's questions and comments about herself and about two previous disasters that I had with TG friendships. Julie blew my spouse's walls down, she came away totally impressed and still hasn't stopped remarking about what a wonderful woman Julie is. I am just so happy about this because other than myself, my lil SO had become rather trans-phobic which was understandable given her limited previous experience with TG folks. Thank you Julie, you are a godsend and a complete doll!

Shan,
You and Laura are lovely and entertaining.  I'm still smiling and will continue to do so until we get together again.   :-*

Love to you both,

Shan, a superlative evening! Wonderful of Julie to blow down Laura's trans-phobia. Bless Laura for hopefully opening her mind to us & be more comfortable in her heart, accepting & being in our company. I am still hoping to see you one day on a trip to visit my Sis & family in Vancouver.

I am excited Happy for you, Laura & Julie!

Hacked a presale password and got great concert tickets.

Jill made me smile.
I found a beautiful song I like.
Someone on a facebook page I like said that he supports transgender people. (No one on that page knows about me. They just brought it up in a conversation.)
I didn't fail my zoology exam as badly as I thought I did and will be able to bring my mark up provided I work harder and get some better memorization techniques.

I had a good breakfast, am looking fairly good today and have been reminded that there are still good people in this world, despite it being seemingly overrun with twits. Small victories, but I will take them where I can get them. :)

I jettisoned some dead weight from my life. If I didn't have to go anywhere tomorrow, I'd enjoy some Jack D to celebrate.

Took the day off work today as tradesmen came to fix building issues under warranty.
Control yourself Cindy. ;)

1 week away from 3 weeks off. It's been a long hard year so time off will be relaxing.
I can be me.
So long and thanks for all the fish

After a week or so of waiting in anticipation, I got a call first thing when I woke up this morning. The gender clinic I sent my doctor's referral to called to schedule a phone interview for a gender therapist. I have only ever seen a general therapist, so it's great that I'll finally have someone with expertise in the field of gender and sexual identity to speak with. It's one of the first steps I'll be taking into the world of self-discovery and decision-making.

My MacBook Pro laptop quit on me yesterday, so I spent an entire hour this morning on the phone with a female Canadian Apple Tech, she cleared a ton of useless crap out of my machine and said not to bother to use the encryption feature as it has been problematic for a lot of home computer users and is really just intended for businesses. So then it wouldn't allow decryption so we went in and moved a lot of other crap to the delete bin and bada-bing I'm decrypted and the laptop is running like new.
