You'll do fine if those photos you showed us is any indication of how good you can look en femme Kimberley, good luck!

Thank you, a friend said I wouldn't need the luck!

Unfortunately, it didn't go according to plan (I explain why in the happy.unhappy thread).

Went out to run errands and nothing went wrong. No drama, no fear, accomplished most of what we set out to do. Also I bought a snoopy shirt on ebay for 3 dollars plus shipping, and it came in today.

T day is on wednesday which always makes me happy. The day after that, I'm headed to an anime convention for the weekend where I will spend and entire weekend with various friends. I'll have to be a hermit for awhile after, but it will be worth it. I'm excited.
I've also made myself happy by thinking about a tattoo I want. I wonder if I can get someone to do a commission for me.

It's dawned on me over the past couple of days that I, a former chocoholic, am now officially 'meh' about chocolate.

Maybe there really is some merit to the commonly held belief that female hormones make you respond differently to chocolate than male hormones do. All I know is, back when my system was flooded with oestrogen I used to comfort eat with chocolate and I used to get a soothing effect from it... but now that I'm running on testosterone I can't be bothered to eat the stuff; it doesn't seem to do anything for me any more. Nor do I feel the need to comfort eat.

This is absolutely brilliant news for my waistline!  ;D

I had a meeting with an LGBT representative for my home town today to discuss the LGBT group i'm trying to get off the ground.
She really likes the idea of this group as we'll be aimed at helping the most vulnerable portion of homeless society, she is so enthusiastic she's going to try to get us funding from outside the charity that i'm working with. She said she's going to approach both the council & lottery funding.
Once the group is up & running we'd like to open it up to everyone in the LGBT community, when people come out as LGB or T they sometimes lose the support network of friends which makes them much more vulnerable to the risk of becoming homeless, my hope for this group is to help these people re-build their social network.

I'd love to go into more detail about this upcoming group but the two women helping me set this up keep having to reign in my eagerness until head office accept our aims & objectives.

Jayne,
I am pleased for you because you are a prime example of how when one gets beyond their self absorbing issues and drama surrounding survival of everyday life and can move ahead into dealing with concerns and needs of others, there is a lot of personal growth and self esteem that comes of it and one automatically becomes suddenly more accepted and even appreciated by society. Good going Jayne!

Thank you Shantel & FTM, ironicly one of the things discussed at the meeting was hate crimes, I agreed to fill out a form for their survey on hate crimes & instead of the small box they provided on the form I filled out 2 pages of A4!! (It's their fault for asking for details on any incident in the last 3 yrs, that's a long time in trans years).
The ironic part is that I became a victim of hate crime whilst walking home from the meeting but I won't go into details on the happy thread.

It did make me happy that they had me outnumbered but they were the ones who ran

Jayne, I really admire you and the group you are forming for what you are doing. We need more people like you in today's society.

Best wishes and, all my hopes you'll be very successful. :icon_chick:

Seeing Queen's current set list.  I'm seeing them in Vegas on the 6th.

From the clips I've seen Adam Lambert seems to do a pretty good show, but yeah, it's not the same without Freddie

I'm just glad the music didn't die with him like it does for so many other bands and feel that they're honoring him by continuing

I hope you have fun. I just can't like the new Queen with Adam Lambert...it feels so wrong. Queen without Freddie is not Queen. :( I wish I'd had the chance to see Queen before Freddie died, but I was only like a year and a half old when he died. I should have been born like two decades earlier. :)

Yeah, Freddie died when I was in college.  It really, really sucked.  I never got to see him either.  I have all the CDs and DVDs though, as well as a sweet stack of bootlegs.

It's funny though, the first time I saw Adam Lambert on AI, I said right away that he should be fronting Queen instead (little did I know...).  I saw them twice with Paul Rodgers and thought it didn't really work at all.  Brian May is one of my favorite guitar players of all time though, and I will see him any place at any time with whoever else comes along for the ride.

I re-connected with my niece whom I haven't spoken to in over 15 years. We talked over the phone for hours catching up. She's also very supportive and scolded me a little for waiting so long to transition, lol! it was great just hearing her voice!
