I have searched the forum and could not find relative information.

I am in a bona fide, bi-national marriage with my wife. I am a us citizen and we have already received our green card for her. We need to submit paperwork to get the conditions removed from her 2 year green card, and we are starting to get worried that despite being in a loving relationship, that we may have problems with USCIS.

Is there anyone with experience, information, or details that may help?

We married on Sept 5th 2012, we were approved conditional, 2 year green card on April 4th of 2013, and we need to submit papers between January and April of next year. I am transitioning from male to female, and we are very worried that we may be rejected due to my trans status. We were married in DC, we live in Arlington together and wanted to know anything that may help us.

She is worried that they will see that i have changed, and that it will cause problems and she wants me to revert to being a man.

Eep I'm afraid you need a lawyer to figure this out. I've worked with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (google them) but they're in New York. If you call them they might be able to refer you to an appropriate agency.

We never had one issue. In the States with my husband, and then me here in Canada. We where married in the States (hetro) but we where both in transition.

We did the US paperwork and also the Canada paperwork on our own.

Not to say you will not have issues but the State department has changed the rules to make it easier for transgender to get a marker change. If you have any trouble you can always ask for a supervisor. They are trained to understand us with GID.

Wow, Arlington, that was until like two months ago my county lol small world. Too bad VA doesn't technically recognize SSM, but luckily all of the Immigration stuff is federal. Also, there are court cases pending, where hopefully VA will recognize at least those performed elsewhere (as that seems to be the consensus by judges in other states at least).

Yes, it is a small world, and technically, even though I look female, legally I am still male so we are according to the way the laws have it, in a normal heterosexual relationship.
