Underworks binder question

I have a question for anyone who's familiar with binders from Underworks.  I'm looking at their swim shirt for a beach day at the end of the month (plus I miss swimming laps).  I'm in between sizes, and my first instinct is to go for the smaller size (esp since I won't be wearing anything over it) but I do want to do swim/water polo workouts in it and don't want my breathing or mobility to be hampered.  What do you think, can I get away with the smaller size or should I size up?

Edit: I just realized this was posted in the main page and not the gear forum oops, if anyone wants to move it please feel free.

Definitely size up. It's better to be safe than sorry, a binding injury is NO FUN at all. If you're passing as male, a little bit of chest, especially if it stays still, likely won't change that. If you're not passing, it won't make a difference either.

I sized down on an underworks binder when I was in between and I regret it. I don't wear the binder now. Size up.

I actually had one of these binders and I'd say size up if you get it though in my opinion it did not bind well enough for me to only wear it without anything over it, though it could have been my pal dysphoria dragging me down since my sister said it got me flat enough. Bring a short to put over it just in case maybe.

As for breathing I know I definitely could not get as deep of a breath as I usually did when wearing any binder. I was a surfer pre binding days so I had pretty decent lung capacity when it came to swimming. In fact the wet suit got me flatter than the swimming binder did now that I think about it. Maybe look into getting a wetsuit style top? They come in short sleeve/no sleeve versions, but how much they flatten depends on what's there already I suppose.

Size up. I love my underworks swimming binder. I wear a tshirt over mine just to flatten my chest that little bit extra
