Lara the Lover and the Fighter

This June I'll be going to a Katy Perry concert with my wife.  I actually can't stand Katy Perry but my wife loves her so whatever.

ANYWAY!

It will be summer time and at that time Ill be 6 months into HRT.  I'm pretty sure Ill still have a bit of muscle on my shoulders, wide ribs to deal with, and a lack of hips.  Oh and my legs get horrible in grow hairs so I don't want to show them too much.  At least not yet.  I am the typical athletically built male becoming female. (Ugggg I hate these muscles)

I'm 5'9, 160 and around that time I plan to be closer to 150.  I don't know what to wear but I know I want to go in girl clothes.  This is a deadline for me.  Im soooooo terrified and I plan to conquer this fear for this concert.  ****Im going out as Lara****

So, I want to pass.  I like tank tops and jeans but I don't really care.  I guess what I am looking for is advice from people who had or have the same type of body.  What worked for you?  What didn't?  I looked at different websites like the ones with the inverted triangle suggestions but those sites are meant for CIS women and I don't know where else to get a trans perspective.

All I have is hand-me-downs that barely fit.  I don't know how to shop. ;~;

Your going with your wife (according to your post), can't she help you pick out an outfit?
Nameless here for evermore!;  Merely this, and nothing more;
Tis the wind and nothing more!;  Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore!!"

Many cis females don't have perfect bodies and the more successful ones learn to dress around the problem finding styles to obscure the problem areas. For instance those with top heavy B-52 boobs don't wear dresses with empire waistlines as that only draws attention to the problem. Women with thick waists or fat tummies don't wear wide belts, and women with enormous asses don't wear tapered jeans with sparkly studs on the back pockets unless they want to say, "I have an enormous butt!"

So if you are an androgynous looking genetic male with the height to weight ratio you are describing and you're only going to be under a year into HRT, you might consider wearing a woman's tank top or camisole with an open hawaiian style shirt over it, skinny jeans rolled half way up at the calf with strappy women's sandals. You'd look fine, a composite type with strong female undertones. Shave your legs, wear a little eyeliner and lip gloss, you'll look great and no-one will think you are a dork!

Good idea and good points.  I'm going to take your advice.  Thanks so much!
