Even if you can't help me cross-dress it would still be nice to have a friend to talk to this about. Also I haven't done this in public yet i get too nervous and I don't think I can pull it off yet.  :)

It's hard to do alone, especially with figuring out your sizes etc. This is why I am going to do a full TG make over. I want to understand my feelings and I need tips from women in a safe setting. Maybe there are these services in your area as well?

It can be tough.  Around here, there is a pretty big transgender population (I am S of Atlanta), but it is fragmented. Lots of them are fetishists, in the closet, or otherwise undisposed to talking or helping others out of sisterhood. I've tried to reach out and build connections but its been difficult.

First I live in VA in a city close to the busch gardens. Also it seems a lot of the people who want to cross-dress want to have a sex change, however I just want to do it because I like wearing pretty clothes, looking pretty/cute, trying things guys would get mocked for like getting a pedicure, and lastly i want to know what it's like to be a girl. Even though i say all that I don't want to stop being a guy though either and that is why I want to pull off cross-dressing so that I can do both. Sorry I went on a rant there.   :P

You might try the transgender social networks like URNotAlone, GenterFest, etc.  Support groups are another good option - Renaissance Transgender Association is popular in the area of PA where I'm from but not certain about VA.  A Transformation artist is a great way to go - one of the very best is Amanda Richards in PA but I know there are others that may be closer to you.

Howdy y'all:

This is my first posting to the site. I've been reading the posts and forums, and it seems like its mostly a TS site, and i dont know how much CD talk one can find here. Im from Miami, FL where its a very sex-charged scene, where it ranges from everything, CD's,TG's and TV's. I really hate the whole labeling process, just cuz its too much work sometimes. But I would have to label myself as a CD, cuz I am closet about dressing up. However, that doesn't take away the fact that I deeply enjoy it and makes me feel feminine. It seems that some trans people may consider that a perversion or just a fetish, and maybe they are right.

I just hope to find people who CD too and want to talk about it, also share tips and hints. :) Hope to hear from yall.

Hi Riaza / Emma - welcome!

Don't be too worried the labels. TG and CD people face many of the same issues, and many of us (myself included) find difficulty nailing that perfect label for ourselves. The more you converse with others here the more comfortable you'll get with who you are.

Riaza, you mentioned you only did it by yourself so far - that's how we all start!  :-*

If you're interested in finding local people to talk to, I'd encourage you to find the nearby gay / lesbian organizations in your area, and ask them about TG / CD support groups. I followed a similar trail of breadcrumbs.
It's almost everything I need.
