I can't really see why you would do the jaw work. Dr. Z can be a bit... over-enthusiastic sometimes (but he is an excellent surgeon). If you could put on some weight yourself, it might make the fat injections unnecessary (my face is a lot rounder and more attractive since I hit a healthy weight - you really have to discipline yourself, it's worth it). The upper lip lift would probably make you look prettier, but it's definitely more on the aesthetic rather than feminizing side. I'd probably do it since you are doing nose work anyway.

Have you considering doing http://www.virtualffs.co.uk/ ? I found it really helpful when I was planning my facial surgery.

Thanks for posting the link Sarah

Tracheal Shave, Brow Bossing, Orbital Rim, Rhinoplasty, Vermillion Lip Lift, perhaps a Scalp Advance but it is a personal decision.

Not yet! It's in less than a month.

There are a few reasons for the discrepancy between the penultimate and final pictures:

-They were taken in different areas, at different times, and in different lights. The 5 mugshots are in natural daylight; the final, normal-looking photo was in my bathroom under incandescent lights. I believe daylight shows more detail (especially with regards to shadows on the face), so perhaps some of the areas of my face which are more prevalent in the mugshots are masked by the limited light of the final picture.

-The mugshots are all done in neutral poses (as per the doctor's requirements) while the final one is a smiling shot. I think it's natural to assume a smile looks better than a neutral pose. Smiling moves the muscles on the face and camouflages the bone structure a bit. This is readily apparent with my chin: the neutral poses demonstrates the squareness of it, while the smile rounds out my chin and helps it blend better into the overall shape. The same can be said for my hair (pulled back revealing any recession vs. styled in a way to complement my face).

-The mugshots are straight on while the final shot is slightly to the side and raised vertically. The difference in perspective yields a slightly different view of my face.

With the right light, posing, and a little luck, the same face can be made to look bland or charming.

but i just get an error from photobucket
did you get enough opinioning and take it down?
O this is progress towards perfection (the link is to my transition blog)

You may wish to consider having a virtual FFS done. It not so expensive and it will give you what you can expect to look liks. I would post mine but I'm in deep stelth mode due to work. I was really encouraged by the changes.
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

To those who posted recently: I had my FFS done in February 2013 (there's a thread about it in the FFS section here). I used to have the "before" pictures up on Photobucket, but I took them down. I apologize. I realize that such before and after photos can be helpful for people researching FFS surgeons, and part of me wanted to keep them up for that reason. The other part of me wanted to move on from the past, aka pre-FFS me, and I felt it necessary to let those pictures go.

And now I feel bad because this is my chance to pay forward the help I found in other people's photos.  :(

Fortunately, the Internets remembers all, and I found a pre-FFS photo which I will share with you all. I promise I'll try to leave them up this time.  ;)

Before

(about 7 or 8 months on hormones)

After

(Just today; about 7 months post-op)
Props to Dr. Zukowski. I'm very happy with the work he did.

Fantastic result Neko. You had good features to start with, but now you look so naturally feminine. Don't leave the before photos up too long. It's important to move on.

Just my two cents worth.

Love your hair.

Oh way good result. Did all go well? Can you still do all the faces you like and have all the sensation you can have? Did you get the endoscopic variant from Dr Z when it comes to the orbitals? I have read it is less invasive and can be enough if the face is already quite female as yours. Hehe - now thats a bit funny - you had no bangs before FFS and after you have them, I thought it should be the other way round ;)

Everything seems to have gone well. The sensation has returned to all of the areas that became numb, and my face is fully operational. (That makes me sound like a robot or something  :D)

Dr. Z did the forehead/eye orbitals, chin, and trachea via endoscopic surgery; that was a big part of the reason I selected him as a surgeon. It is definitely less invasive: the forehead scar is smaller, and there is less separation of skin layers, nerves, muscles, and blood supplies. Fewer and smaller incisions is a plus in surgery!

I got the bangs a month after my surgery, but it had no relation to transition or surgery. I just wanted a new look and was hoping bangs would look half as good on me as they do on Zooey Deschanel.

Neko you look great! Truly a spectacular 100% natural looking result :)

I would be very happy if I were you, and the endoscopic method does seem to be the best. You chose so well! Way to go!!!
