Could my dose be too high?

Not that im complaining, changes are happening and happening fast. Almost 2months on T and my voice is changing and bits of facial hair already.

But im either being paranoid about it, thus making it seem worse than it really is, or its actually happening. But my hair has been thinning out.

I know my hair line was gonna change but i feel like i can see my scalp without much digging around for it.

Also i think my hair was kind of thinning before i got on T (or at least again became aware of how much hair is on my head. Perhaps it was always thinner than i thought)

But do any of you guys have similar experiences? Is it supposed to thin a bit? I dunno, its early enough i could probably let my doc know and get something for it before it gets bad but.. If its normal i dont wanna stress over it.

I'm the same, people everywhere, including my doctors, assure me everyone is different. Sometimes it can go really quickly at first and slow down after a while, and others have the opposite experience. My voice has dropped so much in 2 months it's shocking. I am also stupidly attached to my hair and so I stare at my hairline in the mirror more than anything else on my face/head.

My advice is to take photos and that'll set your mind at ease for now. I've found I'm hyper-vigilant toward that and my hair hasn't changed at all, I never paid attention to the visibility of my scalp before. Not only that, but I wear my hair differently since beginning my transition, and my scalp shows a lot more that way. Talk to your doctor if you're really worried, the experience varies so much it's almost impossible to get a definitive answer.

yeah It probably hasn't changed but ill keep record of it. take pictures and compare in a month or so.

I'm pretty stupid attached to my hair too. I don't mind so much if i bald wen im older but being 19 and bald would get me pretty upset for sure XD i know a few of my friends in their early 20s that are pretty much bald so i guess it wouldn't be uncommon, but hey, i guess if it gets bad enough i have options...

Do you get T levels run? Your blood level (no I am not talking dose!) shouldn't be higher than 1000. I don't know what the units are (and I used to tell my middle school kids, units are everything).

my doctor took a blood test when i started T and wants to take again 3 months later so i still have one more month before i get more blood work done. so im not sure where my T levels are.

If you're concerned about your levels right now, before you're due for another blood tests, I'm sure your doctor wouldn't mind.
However, a lot of people do have changes differently. My levels were high to begin with therefore my voice changed fast, etc.
I still have a full head of hair like 4 years in though. I think you should just accept that you're gunna need to part ways with it if you believe that it's thinning.
Also, if your levels were too high, wouldn't they likely turn back into estrogen, not too much testosterone?

Im sure that the point in wich t converts to estrogen is different for everyone.

Who knows if im actually balding or what. Maybe my leves are high but not high enough to convert? Eh if it gets noticably different ill ask my doc about options like rogain or something...

Just wondering where you got 1000? Mine were almost 200 higher and doc said it's perfectly fine. This was also during my peak tho.

I'd advise you not to stress until you have your bloodwork.

It's likely that you're just looking for it to happen, and so you're "noticing" your hair "thinning" when it's probably not.

If it is, there's nothing really to blame if your levels are okay other than genetics.  There are treatments for it, though.  I would be thinking the worst at this stage however.

Yeah I think that's right actually. My doctor (PA) is really super cautious, and it could also be due to my age.

yeah I think im just psyching myself out.

before june of last year i had hair that went down to my waist, very straight hair so i always had a good amount of hair but now it's short i guess i just odn't have as much on top as previously thought XD but looking at old pics of myself i can see my part is the same... my har was always more like my dads, his hair is quite thick, he's 50 and hasn't balded yet. and my mom has thin brittle hair, she's also 50 but she says her hair was never as thick as mine...

I'll talk to my doc about it, see if there's something i can do to prevent further balding for the time being since well im young, i'd like to enjoy my hair while it lasts XD but if i cna't do nothin well..
