Again I'm sitting here thinking about life post transition (its what gets me through the day) and now I have another question: Do trans women after hormones and transition ever start to look manly again.? I guess what I'm asking is when you get older does some of your male traits start showing again? And if so about what age? I know its going to be different for each person because everyone genetic makeup is different but I'm worried that ill transition and then 30 years later look like an older balding (my worst fear for my hair is my favorite trait about myself male or female) man trying to pass as a woman.

Actually, I'm quite sure there is no after hormones, you take them consistently and constantly until you pass... away.
This is ok, I guess.

Yeah, there is no after hormones unless you choose to go through menopause. :)   But no, as long as you're on HRT, you shouldn't have balding problems.

(Also cis women start to look more "masculine," since post-menopause [and without HRT] their testosterone goes up and estrogen drops. So even if you do choose to stop HRT, at like 75 you're not going to look much different from your cis peers.)

I have noticed that there appears to be significant visible divergence between cis-women that have looked after themselves and those who have not, from about 40 years of age. The years take their toll, or not and don't have to. Entering my forties now, I am sometimes startled by how old those, who are my age, who haven't taken care of themselves look. It's shocking and depressing. I truly believe that one's external age reflects their inner age. It terrifies me when I hear of those only a decade older than me, looking like they're in their 60s or 70s, suddenly dying from natural causes. "Natural causes", WTF, are you serious!?

So I have real admiration for those like Christy Turlington or Sandra Bullock etc who seem timeless and untouched by the ravages of time. So ages like "fine wine" or "moldy wine" applies to both cis-women and trans-women alike. Although a lot is down to genetics, much more is down to you and the care and respect you take for your own body. Anyway, back to the topic. ;D I can pass for someone in their late twenties, my body has never looked better and my hairline is still 5cm above my eyebrows. Nothing moldy here.   ;)

Take care of yourself, eat right, keep yourself in shape, stay out of the sun and don't even think about smoking.  This way you will get the best possible result with whatever genetics you were handed.  And if you think those ageless Hollywood beauties don't get a tweak from a plastic surgeon every so often...

So anyway, I'll be needing that surgeon.

And now I want a nicely aged Bordeaux and some bleu cheese.  Oh, Chateau Latour, get in mah belly.

I admit that I also cheat like the best out there. But I consider that part of "looking after oneself".  Smoking, alcohol, drugs, sugar, being overweight, sun, lack of exercise and lack of tweaking [+anything I missed]  :P will all take their toll. Yes, "moldy" is absolutely up to you. Oh dear.
