I was trying on some v neck shaped shirts at the gap. My face looks kinda passable from front viewing angles but catching its profile from the side I just want to gag.

Do department store dressing rooms bring out the worst of our features?

Those mirrors are usually thinning. Idk, maybe your face looks longer then?

I don't know, never thought about them making you thinner. Makes me think I need to fix my posture as well.

Gawd. And fluorescent lighting....

No, they don't. The mirrors are neutral. The problem is your bias toward your image.

The first time I experienced this, I was horrified and was stuck for nearly 20 minutes unable to leave the changeroom.

That was the moment I stopped thinking about FFS and decided to do it.

A bit over two months to go :D

Ha. Don't get me started on fluorescent lighting. My entire high school is lit by fluorescent lights. Yeah. So much fun sitting under overhead fluorescent lights all day. It's as if they're trying to kill kids' self confidence.

Aww. Evelyn. I'm so sorry. This angle is the most unforgiving for cisgender women.  I hate my profile in those mirrors too. I still think it looks masculine. But I don't seem to have any trouble passing. If we are going to have a "test", these mirrors should not be it.

Love yourself.
