So I posted on here awhile back about finding a gaff that A. Wasn't too expensive and B. that wasn't a DIY cut off control top pantyhose like drag queens use, where after 3 wears it looks like something Marylin Manson would wear in the 90's lol XD

I wanted something that would look nice for my man and not be some contraption like above said photo or like I said drag where it is an illusion contraption like below.

I was looking all over amazon and finally found a "Gaff" for TG people. I spent $22 plus $5 shipping for a glorified G-string, with this weird cardboard piece in the front lining "To flatten and feminize" which I guess helped a little. I felt that they were taking advantage of a niche market and overcharging big time.

I wasn't looking in the womens shopping area's in department stores because I didn't have the nerve a while back. And when searching online I was afraid to get anything marketed towards women because I was afraid that the crotch area would be too small for coverage. I am well endowed still even after my testes have shrinked a little.

Well the last 3 months or so I've been 100% full time and have no problem shopping in the womens department and I'm happy to say that includes the intimate sections as well  ;D

Anyway I found an awesome solution at Target but being the Maiden Form brand I'm sure you can get them in a lot of different stores. They are kind of like Spanx but a lot cheaper! I started with one pair and it worked so well I got 3 more pairs plus a body shaping pair that controls the tummy area for my tighter dresses.

The one I wear the most is called "Seamless Boyshort Self Expressions by Maiden Form" and they are only $7.99 and no shipping or oops it doesn't fit! They work wonderful they keep me in place all day, have full coverage and really help flatten out that area much better than any thing else I've tried. They are really nice looking and not cheaply constructed. They also have a really cute vintage shape to them. When I wear the nude ones I wear cute underwear over them and the black ones I wear as is and they have a pinup quality to them, really cute! Such a life changer I had to share, and now I can feel sexy and confident with my partner and not feel like I'm shedding my "Drag" off  :D

And this thing is no joke, it's the same shape just a very high waisted style that flattens the tummy. It's close to a corset, I call it my girdle lol. After 6 hours or so it gets a little overbearing and I usually roll it down if I'm at work, but not bad enough that I want to rip it off. I only wear it with 2-3 dress I have that are Jersey and tight fitting, but it works wonders! (I believe I paid $17 for this one)

Cool, thanks!

Yes I am very happy with them!! And no layering and no discomfort just simple and effective  :)

Yeah, I've got something similar.

Another thing I do is save the panty part of control-top pantyhose. When the hose run and can't really be used anymore, I cut them off and save the control-top. It works great!

Thank You, I'll drop by Target tonight!

To help with sizing would you mind sharing your measurement and the size you found fit best.

You can also get gaffs at this link.  A few styles, colors and designed for the TG......   I have a thong style and love it.  Well constructed, quality mtl. Going to order more.

I've never worn a gaff or felt the need for one. One of the first women's under things I bought was an old fashioned support panty from Victoria's Secrets and it worked amazingly well at containing my business down there. I also like a trick I learned from Barbie on this forum of wearing two pairs of fairly smallish panties. I've actually got a pair of jeans that have a built in satin panty that holds things pretty well. As you can tell, I vary my containment method depending on my outer garment or the weather or my mood. My best suggestion is to try all the different methods you hear about and adapt those that work best for you.

I, too have an issue with "boy shorts", BTW. I have skinny legs and panties like that always have a looseness in the leg for me, thus things fall out-- thus the panty is useless. You pretty much have to shop around to find things that fit right and do the job.

I have skinny legs too. 6'2" and 140 lbs after HRT I was around 130-133 before HRT so my legs are still skinny. Panties I wear over them, because even small ones even after doubling are too forgiving and loose. These are very form fitting without being uncomfortable at all, like gaffs or control top pantyhose can be. Plus with those other types I was always having to readjust due to popping out with sitting and standing or movement.

My waist is 30" and my hips are 37" I bought smalls.

The size chart is as follows:

Size/Dress/Hip Size

S      4-6     34"-38"
M     8-10    39"-41"
L     12-14   42"-44"
XL   16-18   45"-47"
2XL  20-22   48"-50"

I feel kind of lucky about this because since I am small enough that there is no need for me to tuck. Just wearing panties is enough for me to hide what is between my legs. Being less than three inches hard before hrt may have got me a lot of S*** in high school but it works well for being a pre-op girl. Although one might come to the realization that someone in my predicament might not fare too well for srs considering there is not much donor material, letting such things bother me so far off into the future is not really a good idea. Still, my doctor informs me that my insurance may cover. Enough of that matter though; I do feel for you girls whom tucking is a mandatory thing and a occurrence for every day life.

Oh, gods, thanks, sweety! You just saved me from spending a lot more on spanx! Target's just down the road. Now all I have to do is wait until I get paid next week and gird my bravery to shop as a male in that department.

Remember the mantra, Dee! Dee is brave, compassionate and fun!

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Hey totally have been there, well we all have, right ladies?

Anyway you can always go to target.com and order them as pick up at your local store. That way you don't have to wander around if you're not comfortable yet, and no shipping cost. Try them at home with panties on and if they don't fit Target has an awesome return policy ;)

Thanks, Harlow, but I'm not out to my wife yet and have to pay cash. Anyway, it's good for me to be brave and no worse than when I worked in Macy's as a floater and had to cover the young miss department. The looks I got coming out of the changing room or folding intimates!

Well apparently they are out of stock online and in stores... I guess I will have to hope I am small enough down there to not need them. We will see when my first order of clothes gets here later this week.

I got a gaff from there months ago,  it's good with keeping stuff in place but the only problem I had with it is the fabric is small in width and after a little activity I'm getting pinched from sac skin coming out

You might be kidding but you might be surprised by how many readers stop by and never post, for example my Google+ account got just shy of 5000 hits after I used one of the pictures in it on this forum.
