For those of you on pellet HRT, can you feel where the pellet is?

I can still feel a lump over the spot after 1 month!

No, once the stitch is removed and the incision healed I couldn't tell where is was put except by memory.

In that case, I suspect my pellet has encapsulated in a foreign body granuloma just under the skin - it's still working but possibly ended up in a suboptimal position.  It's probably nothing too important - I don't think it'll be ejected out although that's not an unheard of complication.

The more annoying part was having to remove the stitches myself to avoid the return trip back to the endo - I'm not as flexible as I used to be. :/

Mine are put in my tummy area so it is easy to get to, she also gives me a scalpel blade so I can cut the stitch after 48 hours. My nasty about them is I react to the local and I am itchy as beejus for a few days, I use some cortisol cream to control it.

Mine is sitting just below the iliac crest.  I'm used to removing sutures, but not on myself and in a twisted position. *lol*

I doubt it's the local itself that you're reacting to - do you get a reaction to dental injuections?  Most of the time it's the preservatives in the local that cause issue.  You could think about preloading on some antihistamine before insertion and staying on it for a few days after - I'm not keen on steroids.

I'm atopic and my hypersensitivities know few bounds!

When I go for my general soon I'm going to be screened beforehand for hypersensitivity to it, radiocontrast media - you name it are all used with an adrenaline syringe on hand.

Mine is in the top area of my left butt cheek :D
I went to my doc to have the stitches out even though the endo said I could do it myself. Fortunately didn't suffer any rash or other reaction.
I probably noticed it there for a week or so? Been almost three months so I can't remember...due for my next on at the end of the month. I'll pay better attention this time!  ;D

*lol* Yeah, that's probably right.  And for reference, he put the pellet on my right side.  I'm guessing he picks a butt cheek at random. :P
