Finding pants that fit?

I've been having such an issue finding pants that have an inseam that fits me. I wear a size 34x29 in most pants but I never find pants with a 29 inseam that are A) affordable (I found some at Kohl's for $68 a pair, how about no) and B) fit me properly.
The ones I find are usually way too baggy. I like tighter pants, but not too tight, like men's skinny jeans.
I've tried Walmart, Kohl's, AE, and Hot Topic. I'm honestly at the point right now where I'm about to have my friend teach me how to use a sewing machine so I can learn how to make my own pants.

I have several pairs of khaki style work pants in different colors from Kohls. The regular prices are usually around $60 but I go often to keep an eye on sales. They usually drop 50% or more once a month and the quality is excellent.

My only other advise is to purchase something too large and have them tailored.

Is the 30 inseam WAY too long? I wear 30x32, and they are probably a hair too long, but I allow for shrinkage, and actually prefer my hem to be about 1/2" from the floor at the back with shoes on. Can you get 30 long and just hem them up a bit?

I just searched Amazon for 34x29 and found lots of men's pants with not too bad prices. Docker's were pretty reasonable.

Another thing to remember about buying pants by size when you can't try them on (ie. online) is that sizing can vary by brands. What I usually do is find a local supplier and try the pants on even if they are too long in the legs and then buy from the online source. Target has some good sales also. Marshall's is another store to check out. They usually also have decent drops in price.

If you learn to hem there is this handy little ruler that has a slider you put against the edge (cuff in your case) of what you're marking to be cut or hemmed that makes your life so much easier. And remember in most cases one leg is usually longer than the other so measure both legs for your inseam.

I just found some pants today that fit me. I have big hips and thighs and tried on like every Levi's jeans and the only ones that fit okay were the 513 style but they're like $50 a pair. I went to Macy's and I looked at the clearance rack and found this brand called Bar III and tried on a pair of 36x30 and they actually fit really good, so of course I got like 4 pairs of them. They have just the right amount of space around the thigh and the calf part like tapers down so they aren't really loose there. They only had grey and khaki, though. It was $50 for all 4 pairs, which is really good considering I could only buy one pair of Levi's with that.

I've had good success with the classic cut Dockers khakis. They have a bit more room in the seat, but they aren't baggy on me. Of course, I've gained weight recently--I'm stress eating, and I can't exercise due to an injury--so my current khakis are starting to get tight. No, not starting--they are tight. Sigh.

Anyway, they are pretty affordable, but I usually wait until they are on sale.

Have you tried shopping around for 34x30s that are fairly inexpensive and then having them professionally hemmed?  Hemming isn't terribly expensive(though if you're crafty, you could learn to do it yourself) and would allow you to spend less time looking for pants of a less common size.

I hem my own. I can assure you, I am not the slightest bit good at it. Nobody looks at the hem of your pants.
Mine are no doubt crooked as all heck.

i have massive hips and im a size 40 in mens pants. its so hard to find pants that size, at young males clothing stores :/

I have some jeans that are Levis boys huskey. My inseam is maybe 27 inches, and when you go with longer jeans you also end up getting a longer crotch and a longer butt so they fit worse. I've found that Macy's has a decent selection of boys huskey. You might be able to find a pair that's a close match then use that to look up other cuts online. Plus the price range is closer to $20-$30 instead of $40-$70

I've also hemmed my fair share of jeans. If you have access to a sewing machine, it's pretty easy to figure out.
