Yup, you're definitely entering the officially messy and can-I-do-anything-useful-with-this phase!  ;D

I chickened out.  While mine inches along, I decided to scare it by buying a wig.  And with that I brought forward my "presenting as a girl" event by 6 months, which is kinda cool...
