Even though this is in in Australian paper I'm presuming the camp is in the US...?

"Growing up can be hard enough. So imagine the difficulties faced by children who do not conform to society's gender norms.

Over the past three years, photographer Lindsay Morris has been documenting a four-day camp for gender-non-conforming boys and their parents.

The camp in the US, "You Are You" (the name has been changed to protect the privacy of the children and is also the name of Morris' series), is for "parents who don't have a gender-conforming three-year-old who wants to wear high heels and prefers to go down the pink aisle in K-Mart and not that nasty dark boys' aisle", Morris said with a laugh."

Great article ! That would have been me before my brothers became ugly about it and started downing me. The pictures of the children make them look older than three years I wonder if that was a misprint. All in all a wonderful idea for the children to be able to express themselves. A big thumbs up !  Pat

Cool! It takes a very switched on parent to firstly recognise gender issues in their child, admit they exist and take them to a place like this. How long before the haters try to get it shut down I wonder?

well once it starts to get more well known someone will eventually hate on it, sadly

i wish there was things like that everywhere, those kids look so much happy not having to worry with unsupportive parents and bullies
